HA. My To Do List was also super long, but sadly, I have a child home throwing up. So there goes my productivity for the day. I'll be cleaning up after him and snuggling all day. So grateful that I'm off from work today.

Let's see, here's mine (in no particular order):
  • order groceries
  • fill out my daughter's paperwork for her spring break mission trip to Guatemala (due last week... oops)
  • my laundry (everyone does their own in our house)
  • make sure my son works on his AP seminar paper that he's been avoiding (no school for either kid today)
  • send out follow up invitations to the Shutterfly pilot program trunk show I'm hosting next week
  • shower :-)
  • get out the rest of the Halloween decorations
  • watch the Cubs game tonight
  • watch the news to see if the Chicago Public School teachers are going on strike starting tomorrow
And, I'm going to try to fit in some scrapping time. Trying to get book 2 of this year's PL done so I can print and delete those files from my hard drive. I'm nearly out of space again on my laptop, but I just can't delete anything until I know it's been printed (and yes the files are backed up various places and I do move the to an external after printing, but it's just a hang up I have that I can't shake!). :giggle

Anne, I hope you have chance to relax a bit too today! :)

My list is longer than usual cuz our garage door spring broke on Sat and, even though we certainly didn't try to replace it, scrambling to find recommendations and then make an appt to have it fixed took time. And it rained, so I had to stop painting the steps from garage to kitchen door (which I was also priming to paint). And then yesterday I finished painting the door/steps while the tech installed the new springs and we had other craziness, but I'll stop talking about WHY my list is so long today and just start saying what needs to be done!

0. Clean painting supplies. Just did today cuz I'm a naughty minx
1a. Wash laundry that wasn't done yesterday mostly done
1b. Fold that stupid laundry and actually put it away. Done
2. Vacuum ALL floors (I turn off the brush and vacuum the kitchen floor and the wood floors. I've heard it's better than sweeping cuz a broom can push dirt and scratch your floor. Yikes.)
3. Dust
4. Water planters on porch DONE
5. Kids and I will organize their art space (our morning room has been overtaken by their glue and paper!)
6. Pick up toy room and set aside stuff to donate
7. Read my one-week-only library book that's due tomorrow (SO BUMMED that I won't have time to finish it.)
8. Figure out lunch DONE
9. Keep going through an EHD and deleting stuff I'll never scrap with DONE-ish
10. Keep going through EHD and C/P kit previews into a Previews folder (9 and 10 won't get finished today but I need to keep plugging along) DONE-ish
11. Pick up the master bedroom. It's a mess, I admit it lol.
12. Hang big photo frame in living room
13. Decorate for fall/Halloween--not done cuz DD asked if she could help...5 minutes before her bedtime lol so I'll do it with her later today (Tues)
14. Remind pest guy about wasp nest (DONE! He came early--yea!)
15. Fill out garage door company's "how did we do?" form cuz the guy did GREAT and I believe good service deserves recognition.
16. Call my mom who is a talker (I'm not. I'm a writer but the phone makes me tired.) I texted her and called my dad, who was in the same room as Mom...does that count?
17. Remember to let the kids play outside today DONE
18. Play a game at night with DH
19. Schedule haircut
20. Entertain kids throughout day (both were off school) RELATIVELY DONE
21. Put kids to bed on time as it is my night. DONE

Most of mine is work-related (honestly, looking at this list just makes me want to start planning vacation days):
  • Schedule all-staff meeting for December
  • Confirm travel agenda for boss's meeting next week
  • Book flights for boss's end of month meeting
  • Book flights for staff member's November meeting
  • Post October calendar (yes, I know I am 10 days late with this!)
  • Expense report for last week's trip
  • Leadership Team meeting
  • Update laptops
  • Follow-up on open admin position hirings
  • Work on self-eval for end of year ratings (my absolutely least favorite thing ever)
At home:
  • Dinner
  • Clean out fridge (garbage day tomorrow)
  • Plan meals for the week
  • Post CT page
  • Update planner
  • Work on plans for MOC!

Awww, sorry Jen! Sending the little one get well-vibes, and hoping you don't catch it!

I literally can NOT wait for my kids to be old enough to do their own laundry! (But I'll always do DH's laundry cuz it's cheaper than replacing clothes he's shrunk or discolored!)

I wish I could say that this arrangement was born out of some cheerful spirit of helpfulness from my family... but sadly, it was mostly born out of frustration and yelling.

Actually... just one really is because of yelling. My husband travels M-F most weeks, and comes home with laundry to do on the weekends. I'm home all week and have done laundry all week (my own, sheets, towels, etc.), so I kept forgetting his on the weekend. He just does his now automatically when he empties his suitcase. When we moved into this house, my son wanted the basement room... the deal was, that if he was going to live two floors away from the rest of us, he would have to do his own laundry. The yelling one, is my daughter. I can't tell what's dirty and what's clean with the way she keeps her room, so I gave up on figuring it out and told her that as long as she kept her room like that, she would be in charge of her laundry.

You ladies make me tired reading your long lists!
Jen ~ I hope your little one gets over the crud quickly! (We found out last night out granddaughter has ear infection and Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease - which I'd never-ever heard of! But I have learned it is going around her pre-school a lot!!)
About the only thing on my list (after I get off of work) will be make dinner - clean up after dinner and wash bedding.
This AM as I was getting ready for work (hubby works nights, so I have the bed and bedroom all to myself while sleeping and getting ready in the mornings) I noticed some sort of large bug crawling around in the sheets - of course, I freaked out (and had to put my glasses on to see what the heck it was). It was a large wasp - I tried to smash it inside of the sheets - thought I had it until I moved the sheets and away it flew. So - as I was partially dressed, I was chasing it all around the bedroom, glad no one else was around, because I'm certain it was not a pretty sight! LOL! I did end up cornering it and killing it - but was very thankful it hadn't crawled under the sheets when I was still in bed!! That would be completely freaky!! So ... thus the reason bedding will be washed tonight!! (Hubby has been struggling to sleep during the daylight hours, so is camping out in our rec room in the basement where it is nice and dark and quiet - so I didn't have to re-make the bed with clean sheets before work, phew!)

@tkradtke I'm sorry it happened because of such frustration! But if it makes your life easier (if only cuz you're not yelling at her about laundry and/or the state of her room), then it's a good thing in the long run.

Here's my list. I've already decided not to do #2. Sigh.

  1. Get the girl to the rink for skating practice and lessons.
  2. Go to the gym.
  3. Go grocery shopping.
  4. Scrap a bit.
  5. Make soup for dinner.
  6. Bring the girl back to the rink for more lessons and off-ice.
  7. Eat some chocolate.
I've got #7 down to a science. Just sayin'.

Don't go getting all jealous of my list now. :bk

1. Take Munchkin to bus stop.
2. Get invited on random neighborhood walk.
3. Go on said walk to get steps close to 10,000.
4. Make bread.
5. Remember to eat lunch.
6. Pick up Munchkin from the bus stop.
7. Make Dinner.
8. Scrap as desired.
9. Chat around the Lilypad.

I'll find more stuff for tomorrow, but today I'm enjoying my first kid free - husband free day in a long time.

I was at work all day and my to-do list there changes every hour!

After work (we have 1 hour before leaving for football practice):
1. Add gravy to cube steaks in the crock
2. Put a load of laundry in
3. Catch up here :)
4. Warm mashed potatoes (I made a double batch yesterday so I'd have leftovers today)
5. Eat
6. Change clothes and grab a sweat shirt

**Sit at practice for 2 hours** I'm hoping to work on cleaning up my car a bit and probably catch up on my home planner and lesson plans for the week while I wait. Oh, and make a new to-do list :)

After practice:
1. Transfer laundry to the dryer
2. Clean up the kitchen
3. Maybe scrap for a bit before bed time.

My usual Monday list is 1. Laundry 2. Laundry 3. Laundry 4. scrapping time! BUT... the good ole Jury Duty summons meant I had to waste my laundry & scrapping day at the courthouse. Wah wah. :(
