so...a month without scrapping or typing made me a hard core connoisseur of all things available to watch... I w2atxhed the whole Voyager before the fall, then started watching Star Trek Next Generation again, watched a bunch of romantic comedies, a few dramas.....but in the frame of mind I was.... I was looking for something that took away my frustration and tears......
I had seen The Big Bang Theory on TV, but episodes here and there, never stopped to watch the whole thing....I knew it would be fun, but I wasn't prepared to find the most love show since Friends for me. (I can watch episodes of Friends for the 5th, 7tgh, 8th time and still laugh with passion!)
I had me laughing VERY VERY loud and I had to force myself to go sleep (we had 8 series available on Netflix and yesterday they introduced season 9 which I will be watching tonight!

I think I will go for Modern Family next, same as with TBBT, I have watched episodes but never in sequence... do any of you have any suggestion? funny stuff to watch?

I love the Big Bang Theory too! My hubby watches all the episodes and I love hearing him belly laughing through the whole show. I have watch some of the episodes, but I probably should start at the beginning and watch them all on Netflix too! I'm going to add that to my To-Watch list. :)

I think my most recent binge watched shows are Gilmore Girls, X-files and Better Call Saul. My hubby and I watched Breaking Bad which we both loved, so I started watching the spin-off show Better Call Saul thinking that it was going to disappoint me (as spin-offs usually stink) but I love that show even more than Breaking Bad! I can't wait for the 3rd season to start!

It is not a sitcom, but Burn Notice makes me laugh out loud. It's a spy show, but so tongue-in-cheek that it's just hilarious (but not in a campy way). I know that Netflix in the US has all of it, but not sure about the UK.

ohhh I LOOOOVE Gilmore Girls!!! I watcxhed the whole old show on Netflix I think it was beginning of summer, looking forward to the Year in the Life that I think comes in November!!!!!
Sarita watched Breaking Bad after it had finished, she loved it, we have the Better Cal Saul here too, will have a look at both...

I hate when you have to say goodbye to characters when a long running series finishes. I binge watch then hold off the last few episodes to put off the final moments.

@fruitysuet that's what I did with How I Met Your Mother: even though I binged watched the series and even though I knew what happened in the end (mostly) and even though I probably could have guessed what happened, I held off on watching the last 2 episodes. I was afraid I'd cry so I didn't want to watch when my kids were awake and could walk in on me bawling lol, plus I didn't want to say Goodbye. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. :) But unlike Maureen @cookingmylife I can NOT wait to finish a book. I have to know what happens.

Anyway, back to our wonderful @MrsPeel and her original post lol: PLEASE watch Modern Family! So darn funny! And watching them in order will give you a great look at the characters' development--especially the kids (physically and as characters). They've done a great job of making the kids "real" and I love that.

Have you watched "Death in Paradise" already? I know it's a BBC show. I binged that this summer. Loved it! It's a show about a police force but it's depressing and it does have funny parts. What about Gilmore Girls? That's a good show with snappy dialogue. Or "White Collar," which has smoking-hot Matt Bomer in it as a con man-turned-FBI-consultant. I haven't watched all of it but I like "My Name is Earl." That's a funny show too.

if I'm scrapping, movies and tv shows have to be repeats. I can't watch something new! I get too distracted. LOL

I love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! It's a little quirky but the characters are great. Kimmy is unintentionally hilarious but so sweet. I kinda like My Crazy Ex-girlfriend too, mainly because of the singing and making fun of Broadway musicals. But the main character and story doesn't have much development.

White Collar was the last one I binge watched and then held off on the last few episodes. Sniff miss them all from that show! I also like Suits, Drop Dead Diva (but the fourth? series has never been available in the uk that I can find), Elementary. Those are the more light hearted ones.

My Name is Earl is a fun show, pretty funny. My issue is the dang series cliffhanger! How dare they cliffhanger, and then cancel. Argh!!!

I am so jealous the Big Bang Theory is on Netflix in the UK! It isn't for me. I have most downloaded but still. I loooove that show. Also I love the before mentioned Modern Family and Kimmy Smith.

New Girl is good!

I am actually watching Full House right now. Because I looooved it when I was a little girl. I am actually the exact same age as the Olson twins so I remember connecting with Michelle. I now realize I never understood the show, I just watched Michelle do stuff. Because I didn't understand English nor did I read subtitles then. So it's almost as if I am watching a whole new show.

I don't know any more good funny shows that are new. I loved Will&Grace (they may revive? there are rumors).

I am just lurking and reading what I might have missed.
We don't have Netflix so I must be missing something?
I have enjoyed the BBC show, Father Brown - a vicar that helps solve murders with his observation skills.

I love Big Bang Theory! Its a huge favourite of mine! Sheldon is soooooo HILARIOUS!

I feel the same way but I just watched one after another without ANY pauses LOL

Totally understand this! Same with books.
now...on that I'm more like Sara ... I NEED to know how it solves out!!! I read a lot of crime/thrillers that don't require much thinking or crying.... LOL

Sarita laughs at me because I refuse to watch How I met your mother because I dislike him with a passion - Patrick Harris guy..... I admit the guy maybe talented.... I saw him on a musical number at the Tonys and loved him.... but then I saw him at a chat show, maybe Oprah- It was him and Sara Gilbert- both of them have babies now - I have no issue with the babies.... {well, long story, actually, I do have some issues but that is like politics and religions, rather not discuss LOL I'm past the age in which I tried to convince people my truth had to be their truth...} I just have a HUGE issue with something he said.... something along the lines of "don't know why people fuss so much about the babies.... for the first 6 months they only eat, cry and sleep" it wasn't that exactly but I remember thinking I want to slap you so hard you will cry like a baby........
I will watch Modern Family, need to see if I have it on either Netflix or Amazon....
I heard about Death in Paradise!!!! will look for that one too !!!
and OHHHHH Gimore Girls!!!!!!
we watched it all when it was first on TV here, years ago, with Sarita, and I watched it all again on the start of the summer.... waiting for November when the new year in the life comes out!!!!!
We also watched the first two seasons of White Collar..... and here is a HUGE OMG to cute super cute Matt Bommer!!!!!!!! I have LOs made of him!!!!!! that is how much I love the man!!!! LOL
I think Sarita watched My Name is Earl...she was really keen on Chuck for a while too.....

if I'm scrapping, movies and tv shows have to be repeats. I can't watch something new! I get too distracted. LOL

oh yes!!!! same here...the whole thing was: I couldn't scrap or type, so I watched tons of stuff..... I watch Star Trek when I scrap, or even better I have the playlists on You Tube and listen to music which is less distracting even!

ohhh I HAVE to watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started Kimmy Schmidt ..can't remember why I stopped? something to add to my list!!!

Drop Dead Diva, I watched I think it was 2013 or 14? but yes, we don;t have all series here... I think I only watched 2? something to look for....
and Suits...I may look into it too!!!!!!

My Name is Earl is a fun show, pretty funny. My issue is the dang series cliffhanger! How dare they cliffhanger, and then cancel. Argh!!!

yes, HUGE annoying !!!!!!!!!!!!!
not that it ended on cliff hanger but we both, Sarita & I , cried when House finished!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So pretty much anytime anyone mentions anything abt TV shows, I have to mention my beloved 'Hart of Dixie.' It is seriously my favorite TV show ever. It even edged 'Saved By the Bell' out of the top slot, and that's sayin' something!

It really is laugh-out-loud funny to me. I watch my favorite eps when I'm having a bad day & they always put a smile on my face. All four seasons are on Netflix.

I loved watching:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
The Office (we're into our second series viewing, and DH and I have already agreed to just start it over when we finish)
Gilmore Girls
New Girl
United States of Tara (started watching but had to stop . . . need to pick it back up)
