I started the Week in the LIfe, did the photos, have 5 days done, two more to finish by Wednesday (50% off at Shutterfly) and we are in one awesome revival at our church! Plus the insurance peeps are finally coming to tell us what they what they will cover!
but I am also a homeschooler...and we are trying to finish off this years...pushing pushing..and the pool is calling! lol
I just want to sit and finish and breathe....I have scrapped over 50 pages for this project, and not one other scrap page in 2 weeks! eek
Do you have a project that is or has consumed you?

I get like that when I do vacation book projects for extended family trips ... trying to make them fair to all the families and not just one sided (from my family of 4's perspective)... which I guess is why I still haven't finished 2013's trip! I considered doing WITL once ... but it never got further than taking photos for a day or two. I just don't have it in me ... but I've seen some of your pages and I am beyond impressed. Don't know how you are managing it all : with homeschooling & beautiful weather calling too! Good luck finishing Anne ... you are so so close now! looking forward to seeing that amazing book when it is done!

The project I want to start next is getting some new photos printed, framed and hung on the wall for a new gallery display. I keep walking by all the frames I bought .... and thinking it is just too overwhelming trying to decide which photos to go in them and how to arrange them.

:whistle I may or may not admit that I have a pile of frames sitting waiting to be hung on the wall. I ordered new photos, and put them in, but I'm waiting on Dh to not have work and want to hang them. I am considering doing it myself today.

My consuming project is my EHD's and computers. My current computer finds a new way to drive me nuts each week. This week, it's not recognizing any external drives. So, DH is going to switch computers with me, since he's an internet user, few games here and there person. But I can't decide whether I want to commit to that work yet. Because it will be time consuming! And I want to scrap my WITL first.

Uh... the new low-water butterfly hummingbird flower garden. I've finally convinced Tim to tear out our front lawn. I spent WAY too much on plants last week, but I can't get them in the ground until we get the cardboard sheets that will arrive on Wednesday. So far I just have enough to do one side of the yard and have to find other plants for the shady side. I bought seeds and planted some of those yesterday so we can grow some other plants. I also ordered a mold to create garden spheres that I'm really excited about.

I've decided that I'm really good at planning, shopping and buying stuff... it is the waiting and physical work that kills me off. Because of my stupid brain thing I can only do a little bit of physical stuff at one time, so it frustrates me to no end.

Right now when I'm consumed with something it's WITL. Not as far as you. More personal journaling and far less pages. Sort of a different take on it. But it's a transition time in my life so I'm doing it.

I'm so proud of you for this!

My current obsession is my running stats. They are keeping me motivated to keep going.
Scrap project wise, I have been focusing on my daughter's album. In the past week or so, I've scrapped 5 pages or so. I've determined I need to get the cover and pregnancy pages done, and then I'm done through.... 2 weeks old. :hehe what I have done so far of pregnancy and 2 weeks = 17 pages. I've been using the project life app on my tablet. Loving the layouts!

I just got my hands on some old papers from my great-great grandfather. They are written in Old German Script. I am obsessively (attempting) to translate from old german to modern german to english for the relative who sent them! I was up until 2am last night working on it. it's fascinating, like deciphering a secret code. And what makes it better, is it is a real life relative I've always wondered about!

that is really cool! good luck with the project ... how rewarding!

Um, how big is the book going to be? :think 1 year? At this rate, it might be 300 pages!!!!:yup

Seriously, that's so awesome! I love that you are super focused right now.
Well... some months do not have as many pictures ;)
First baby had a lot of pictures...
and then my son's album will not be anywhere near that big. Haha

True story:
My baby book {oldest} is about 3 times as big as next two siblings. Then half the photos for the next two siblings are taken by me. Then the next 3 had a baby book that consists of 95% my photos.
My kid? No true baby book yet. I even created yearly books for the first 3 years for his birth mom, but didn't make us a copy. :cornfused

I'm usually consumed by whatever project I can get my hands on, as long as it's not something I'm supposed to do. Then, when I have the time, I don't feel like working on it anymore. Sad, but true. What's wrong with me? :rofl

oh yes.... I am obsessive with everything, ut the way my brain works now, it is difficult to keep on track, but in the past ... Sarita's dad said always that we both have addictive personalities...no matter what is it we take up, we will obsess over and get to the end.....
you have really made me want to do the week in the life now!!!!

Well do it. I'm trying to make a more photographic week this week. Of course I picked the rainy week.

I will try get things organized, at the moment is a no no, as I can;t use the computer for more than a couple of hours without letting it rest, but as soon as I sort my stuff out I will try get organized....
I wont do this week as I am having day surgery on Friday, and thusrday the Social Worker for the appeal....and I am barely talking to Sarita... who will have to come with me to hospital as they wont let me out of there without a "responsible adult" coming to pick me up and staying with me for 24 hours.....
how is it then? do you have prompts that you have to follow? or just scrap every day for a week?

Okay I'm behind with you again! Going to have to step up the prayers. At the beginning of the thread is a link to Ali Edwards blog pages about it. Just reading through all her ideas for stories is fun. Actually I think you should post your layouts you do in one week like Anne is doing in her WITL Thread.

just realized that this isn't the same thread. here's a link to the post. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/a-week-in-the-life-2016.42868/#post-737170

Keeping up with your weeks would be crazy right now. but it's fun what things you find are important to your week. And you definitely need your new MAC!!!
And there are lots of ways to do it Anne is the collage style, mine is the I hope I can find a picture style. But I'm doing better this week.

:rofl:rofl:rofl

oh girl.. you make me laugh in the best way possible LOL Love your creative sentences and the hiumor yopu use always!!!!! I'm glad you are getting on better....
I think the key with projects like this is not to stress...if its done is done, if not...well, unless you are running for a million $$$ prize.... I would just try make it the best I can. I remember in 2011 adapting all my CT scrapping to my Project...but we were out and about a LOT at the time, we even traveled , so I wasn't short of stories to tell.... I just scrapped my May Month in Review.... and even though I did have photos....I could have done it all in journaling...and all would be around 70% rant and moan LOL so sometimes I rather just grab old photos and scrap happier times...it gives me some gas and stops me having murdering instincts :rofl

we should catch up soon, I'm of to finish posting, will find you later!!!!
