oh I sit down in the morning, read my emails (not many), pop to the Pad, then go to a few News sources. I seriously got so depressed this morning. The hate, and ugliness that is shown!
The PAD is my safe zone.
No Drama, all joy, even in pages that have pain, there is beauty.

So, my favorite PaD PeePs! Tell me some Happy things this morning in your life!

This strike is wearing me down and making me feel a bit miserable, so I would also love to hear about YOUR happy too!

I agree Ann, the sun is shining here (for now, lol) but if we do get rain later, it will help the trees bloom and I could hope for a Thunderstorm! It's supposed to be 80! :) @AnneofAlamo

The sun is shining here too. We've had unseasonably warm weather (in the high 70s to low 80s) all week. It is nice after so much rain for so long.

Ricky Gervais has a new movie coming to Netflix next week, so I'm happy because I just saw the trailer. :)

Pad peeps are being brave and jounaling in the mini-workshop, which just makes me giddy.

I've got a huge stack of great books from the library.

My cat re-appeared last night and wasn't lost.

I'm going to get some cleaning/purging done today so the house is a little less overwhelming... that will make me happy, right?? :giggle

And it is getting closer to NSD.

oh we have a thunderstorm brewing too...love love the smell of the desert after a rain!!

My dad visited last weekend and we had a great time and the weather was absolutely perfect.

And this weekend we're going to do some work around the house, which I'm actually excited about lol cuz we're gonna make shelves for the closet near the play room and I'm gonna finally organize that beast of toys! So while it may not seem like a blessing, it is because I won't get so annoyed every time I walk by the play room. :) And my tulips are starting to bloom which means I didn't kill them when I planted them last month (after forgetting about them all fall/winter as they sat in a bag in the garage!). Yea for spring color!
 
It's a tough day for me. Counseling is going into a key area and it just hurts.
Bright side. I can take the day and just focus on working through this or taking care of myself.
And a layout I really worked hard on (art journaling but needed to be perfect) Got a Gallery Standout.
 
It's the start of our three day weekend today!! My Honey works four days and is off three. We are heading out to see the new Jungle Book movie with our daughter.

My mum has tiny blossoms opening up on it this morning!!! I didn't know if it would be more leaves coming out or blossoms. But they are yellow gold this morning...definitely flowers! YAY!!

It's beautiful and sunny out today.

We got all our packages mailed to the grandkids...sparkly crayons for the girls and cookies for all. And our son's new pickup truck...a red Ford, Hot Wheel sized...tradition for all graduating kids in our family. We give them a new car. :) Usually their dream car if we can find it in Hot Wheel or Matchbox. Anyway...$40 bucks to mail sparkly crayons and cookies to everyone!!! And a pickup. What we do for our kids and grandkids. But what do you do when a granddaughter calls you up and says...Grandma, you know those sparkly crayons you gave to us? Well...they are all gone. We need more. You go out searching for new sparkly crayons! And then you say...we can't send them to this granddaughter and not all the others! And then you say...we have to add something for all the grandsons, too! And that's just how it is. $40 bucks for postage...plus buying the boxes to send it all in.... But I'm a happy Grandma!! Will have delighted grandchildren come Monday. :)

It's raining here today and that is definitely a happy thing...we needed it badly and I don't mind rain at all as long as the weather is warm.

I'm going to be a grandma again :) My dd is pregnant with a baby boy! She had to have a bunch of tests done because she had a miscarriage last year and everything is looking great for him to make his entrance in October!

Baseball season is underway. I love it so!

And I bought some new books for my summer reading at a used book sale today!!

Sun is shining - very warm autumn (need rain desperately but appreciate the warmth while it is here)

We are at the start of a long weekend. My youngest has two friends here for the day, can hear lot's of laughter.

My daughter's friend borrowed her Mum's convertable, made me laugh to see them drive off, looking so cool and pleased with themselves!

And best of all my beloved football team (go Hawks)won their game last night in the last minute of play. So excited about that!

Thanks for the thread @AnneofAlamo , lovely to appreciate all that is good in a somewhat depressing news week. xx
