OK, I'm a total nerd, but I LOVE this day! It just feels so special.

Other than the rocking party around here, are you doing anything else to mark the day?

And fess up? Did you buy any of the awesome $2.29 goodies?

I have barely been home today. We drove an hour to see a fabulous stage performance of Rick Riordan's _The Lightning Thief_ which is fast-paced and matches the book perfectly (unlike the movie!). The theater company is called Theatreworks in case you'd like to check them out.

Then my girls had their drama club meeting which is two hours long and far enough away that I have to hang out there rather than come back home.

I am thinking of doing the Leap Day scrapping challenge, and I plan to be here for the chat tonight. See you there!

This day 8 years ago I was 40 weeks pregnant & hoping & praying that my contractions would go away & I wouldn't have a leap day baby! Thankfully, lil miss Hayden Ramona was born at 1:38 on March 1st! Phew...

So- although we do nothing special (like I'm doing laundry & house chores!) I am thankful that TOMORROW is my daughter's birthday!

I played the scavenger hunt game & have been oogling goodies in the store... but haven't pulled the trigger for purchasing anything yet...
I'm going to try to make it to the chat- but that'll be dinner time here- so we'll see!

Well I often steal the day as my pre-birthday because I was born the day after Feb 28 so Leap Day is making me wait longer. Of course there isn't anything planned for tomorrow either but I'll party.

@AnneofAlamo it actually made St Pat's further away for a while, but now it's going to be on time. Going to have to find my stuff from last year.

To answer the OP, we don't do anything special here. Maybe we should make next Leap Day special. Our children will be old enough to appreciate the rarity of it. But the day makes me think of "Leap Day William" from 30 Rock.

I love St. Patrick's Day, mostly because it also happens to be my birthday.

As for Leap Day, I love it! I wish I could have an extra day every week and not just once every 4 years, though!

I think it would be way better as a weekend day. It always seems like a normal day to me. I mean, it was still Monday, it just made February a better deal on rent than normal. I like the stolen extra hour when the clocks fall back better. Although I hate when they move ahead!

Haha! Same here, but I was 36 weeks. I had Brody on March 16th, one hour before St. Patrick's Day.
