I feel like I got stuck in a rut last year with the same old style so I've been trying to change, too. My biggest success has been in trying new/different designers. It's hard! I'm so used to tons of ribbons and flowers that when a kit has like two flowers I'm stumped for days. I still haven't found the "right" style for me but I'm plugging away at it, doing challenges, forcing myself to do styles that are harder for me. Using Cheryl's templates is way too easy for me! I LOVE her templates and Liz's, and use them almost constantly. So, what I've just started doing, is buying Cheryl's Dressed Down templates instead of the Dressed Up. Definitely a change for me. Good luck! Hope you find a style you like and have fun on that journey!

@chickypow , oh do try one of the shadow boxes... just one... pretty please...... I would love to see what comes out of you in a shadow box.

My style is very moody, so it varies a lot, but I use to force myself to do a style just to try it and usually those are my favorite pages.

This is totally me. I do sometimes worry that other people might get tired of my style, especially when doing CT work, but for me it's comfortable. Even if I'm in a rut and not feeling super creative, I can usually just start a layout using elements of my style that I know I always like to add to a page. That at least gets me going, and by the end of the page I'm generally "in the zone" again.

I always realize during MOC that I feel like I tend to do the same basic layout of my page to start with, unless I am doing a scrap lift challenge or using a template, etc. I had wondered if I made a template from my "standard page" what it would look like - that could be a fun challenge to make a sketch or template of your "standard" and swap with someone!

If you scrap clean have you ever tried adding grunge or a worn look to your LOs? Lynn Grieveson has some wonderful textured papers that are fun to use to mix up your style.

I actually sort of did this during MOC, and it sped up my scrapping so much!!

My style has morphed about a thousand times over the years. I get bored easily. :giggle
Sometimes I DO get bored with my style, and I'll switch it up and do something new for a page or two. But all in all, I find that when my albums come together and I am looking back through them, I quite like the consistency of my style from page to page.

YES!!! I can do almost anything but I can't do white space. I am OBSESSED with the project life pages that are monochromatic and have lots of white space. I've pinned way too many to count. I just can't do it. I struggled with the simple layout challenge for MOC.

I am trying to find my style!! I typically love a lot of photos so when I found pocket scrapbooking it seemed perfect for me since it was the way I did a lot of my pages anyway - boxey with a lot of pics. But I love white space!! When I am creating for CTs I tend to focus on one or two pics and more white space. I would actually like to find a style so my books flow (I think it's a little OCD thing of mine). I think it's why pages can take me so long sometimes... I should just be happy to get some done. :)

I love AJ but sometimes it's so cool to use templates since I feel I've to think out of the box. I don't do pockets but I find them very interesting so who know, maybe in the future :)

So many of the scrappers in here I ADORE your pages! All of them!

I know for me.. I think I have scrapper A.D.D. What & how I scrap depends on my mood, depends on a challenge, depends on what element in a kit I gravitate towards,or depends on my photos. Different times I have different styles. My gallery is nuts. It probably looks like 10 different people are scraping there.
