The loveliness of living in Chicago is that my kids do not currently and will not ever go to the same school. And because of this, they have completely different spring breaks (about a month apart). My son wants to stay here and work, but my daughter wants to go on a girls' trip for her spring break. She used to dance on a competition dance team and we would go to nationals together. Now she's at a place that doesn't do competitions, so she said that she'll miss our trips... awww.
Any suggestions for a few day getaway (I can't see us lasting a week together)? We had a blast at Disneyland together last summer, so that's been done. Although Disney World could be an option. We went to NYC as a family last summer and loved it. She really wants to go back, but it wasn't all that long since our last trip. Her spring break is in March, so it's on the early side. She's 14, a bit of a shopper (but not hard core), needs to be constantly doing something and isn't a huge fan of museums.
Thanks!
