I just bought a Christmas Present??YOU?? Pad Patter 11/9/2015

We haven't even decided on what to get the kids yet, so I haven't started anything.
We need to get on that, lol!

Christmas is confusing this year. One away in Seattle so early family Christmas, but then there is Christmas with one son. Adding encouragement to one away from home and one's first divorced Christmas. And no decisions seem to get made. So looks like I'll be deciding Then today a pleasant wrench was thrown in the works. We need a group family chat I think.

I haven't started... but we are doing Christmas Eve PJ's... then Want, Need, Read and Wear. My parents spoil them... and it saves us some money. It's been nuts in the past and we gotta rein that in a bit!

We wanted to start this, and this may be the year since Kennedy is almost 6 and it is easier for him to relate/understand. And his birthday is January 15, so it makes it crazy anyway.

I have picked up just a couple of little things (mostly stocking stuffers). My husband never tells me what he wants, and he is impossible to buy for, so shopping for him is always late in the game. I quasi-lucked out last year because he broke his ankle three days before Christmas... not that it was lucky at all for him or for me in most respects, but we made the decision to call off gifts for each other (other than stocking stuff I got him).

No pressure or anything... It's only 30 days until Christmas.
EEP!

:O

I love Christmas shopping, but not started yet. My kids are mostly grown, but I still do little stockings for them - mostly with jokey things in plus the odd cd etc. I am determined to spend less this year and plan on making most of my gifts for the family.
I absolutely LOVE the term 'stocking stuffers' :giggle Over here we call them stocking fillers, but stuffers is so much more apt!
Also Black Friday??????

I've started making lists, but my boys don't really want anything, so that makes it a little tougher. We have decided to reign it in a bit this year too as the last couple years have been a little nuts. I also have decided not to start shopping too early because then I forget what I've purchased or my kids decide what they REALLY want after I've already shopped for them. It's best to just hold off for awhile still.

Black Friday is the term for "day after Thanksgiving", and it's one of the biggest shopping days of the year, here in the states. We spend Thursday celebrating how thankful we are, then Friday, trampling people to get all the good deals. ;)

It's a big deal here, with ads (google "black Friday 2015" to find the ads!!), and then Cyber Monday will be Nov 30th, where many places will have website sales.... biggest online shopping day of the year.

My biggest thing for the kids this year is updating their busy boxes. I need to get on that. Mostly because everything is hand made or printed, and needs to be cut. I have 7.5 weeks till Christmas! Lol.

Thank you Kristina :) Sounds similar to the Boxing day sales here.

OMG. Kids are grown - not too many close relatives anymore. I will probably start thinking Christmas around the 20th of December...:giggle

I'm anticipating online shopping this year - so maybe sooner so they get there...

Black Friday has actually made it to Europe. My friends in London complain every year and it was here in Copenhagen last year as well. It makes no sense because we don't have the day off, much less the day before it. IMO if everyone wants to have Black Friday they should at least have the decency to give us a long weekend and a bunch of turkey too.

I'm an Amazon Prime girl as well. In fact, my kids are JUST starting to fill their Amazon wish lists for Christmas. Funny side note: my DD found something she really liked online but it wasn't on Amazon so she didn't think she could add it to her list, LOL.

The little ones make lists and assign them priorities, knowing that I have the ultimate say in gifts :).

My big ones just want $$, which is hard on Christmas morning. Poo on them!

I am proud to say that I have purchased ONE gift (and DS picked it out). LOL. Thanks for the reminder that I'm totally behind :giggle #lovefree2dayshipping

We are having a gift free Christmas this year because we only get back from our cruise 5 days before and I can NOT be bothered going shopping then :D

Got another Christmas list done today!!! Check Check!! Now the only people I have to finish are my son and my in-laws. Taking a bow.

I have started but only because my son's birthday is December. So I do double the shopping. Most people count down days until Christmas; I count down paychecks.

I have two December birthdays - my oldest son on the 18th & my daughter on the 27th...and my youngest turns 21 tomorrow - who said they could grow up and learn to adult, huh?? :)

My company gives me Thursday and Friday off work, but hubby's does not! He only gets Thursday off as a company holiday for thanksgiving. He had to use vacation time for Wednesday before (prep) and Friday after (recoup).
