Do you like to wear bling? Like the sparkles? Jewels? Sequins? Metallics? Fancy gold/platinum watches? Big shiny belt buckles? What is your birthstone? Do you have anything with your birthstone in it? Do you step outside of the box and wear a stone that isn't your stone?

I love glitter and sequins, but it goes against my need to not stand out. LOL. I have a Seahawk shirt that has the team name in sequins, but I don't really wear it. Opal is my true birthstone, but I don't have any opal jewelry. I'm a fan of emeralds, but can't afford the ones I really like. I apparently have expensive tastes :giggle I always tell my hubby that he's lucky I'm not high maintenance (and I don't really wear much jewelry).

It doesn't seem that this group is incredibly flashy, but do you have a secret bling side that you don't let out?

You are an October birthday, too? My birthstone is Opal and I love the stone, although I don't have any. I have a lot of jewelry (most of it cheap) but I don't wear much at a time. My wedding rings and often a small necklace. Sometimes a big fat silver ring on my right hand just for fun (I have a celtic ring and a spoon ring that I love).

Also.... what about bling on scrap/art journal pages? Do you love to add a little pizzazz??

Yes, I was going to tell you that you were older than me (by a couple of weeks), but I thought that was rude to do on your b-day. Now... bwahahahahaha.

Totally rude! Are we the same age? I figured I was quite a bit older than you :) ... or is this like when I tell the kids in my practice who have my birthday that we are the same age. If so, that's even more rude! LOL.

I'm a garnet.... i think I have some garnet earrings somewhere, but I haven't worn earrings in years. My dad really likes to give jewelry as gifts. I have many rings and earrings and sets.... and never wear any of it. I finally had to tell him to stop wasting his money. I wear my wedding rings, and that's pretty much it.

I love glitter and sparkly things, pink, bright, blingy clothes are fun on occasion, but not habitually. Definitely love adding it to my crafty things.

I do and I don't. Clear as mud, right? I love them all how they look in other people but I don't like how they look on me.

This is me. Only wear a necklace for special occasions...oh and my wedding ring. But apart from that, I am jewelry free.

love sequins, love sparkle..... and also love all bixouterie, which isn't necessarily shiny , plastic stuff, wooden bracelets, everything, also lots of rings in the past,. now I just wear one max two at the time.... but I feel naked if I dont have tons of bracelets...
these are the ones I wear when going somewhere special

I wear a lot of jewelry...bracelets, necklaces, earrings (5 piercings in one ear, 3 in the other), and rings on every finger except pinkies (only because I haven't been able to find small enough ones that I like). You can see most of my rings in this layout. Most all of it is big chunky silver and my dad fed my ring addiction before he passed away. Every Christmas there would be a little box under the tree with a tag that said Love, Dad, and it was always my favorite! I don't like my birthstone (Nov - Topaz) at all and don't have any. My favorite stone is Lapis, and I have some Turquoise. Funny story about Opals... I love them and my dad gave me a gorgeous Opal ring once. I wore it for about a month and someone told me that there was an old wives tale that if you wear Opals and it's not your birthstone, it will bring you bad luck. Well, in that month I had worn it and before I heard the tale, we had a run of super bad luck...things just kept happening. I even happened to think that I had taken the ring off once in the shower and laid it on the ledge and the plumbing broke. So, I totally got paranoid and asked my dad if it was ok to give the ring to my niece (his granddaughter) who is actually born in October. He was fine with it and I haven't worn any Opals since LOL.

Wow. Maybe I'll have good luck if I wear them since I am an October birthday. :thumbsups
I never have b/c of how fragile the stone is. I actually owned one as a teenager but I was too rough with my hands and it was crushed.

ETA: I just looked at your LO and I LOVE all of your rings! That is so fun!

I love bling, but I'm not a flashy type person, so I don't wear anything too big. I used to make my own jewelry, so I have TONS of it, but I only pull stuff out on rare occasions now. I do like all things sparkly though! :)

My birth stone is peridot, which I don't really like. I do think I worked some peridot beads into a few of my jewelry pieces, but I don't wear those very often. I even had my class ring in high school changed to a pink stone because I liked it better.

We are the same age... or will be on Saturday. For now you are older. :giggle

I'm an earring type of girl. I think I have about a 100 and I daily switch them up. I care about how pretty they are, not about my birth stone. I don't even know which is mine, but I think it was some kind of blue. I also love wearing pretty watches. I have several including a Fossil which I can switch the bands. Everything else I buy but hardly ever wear.
Bling on layouts and other crafts? Yes! I am a sucker for glitter and sequins!

I tend to wear my bling on my ears anymore, more white gold/silver than gold anymore. My birthstone is amethyst and I love purple. I have quite a few pairs of amethyst earrings, a necklace and a big unusual ring that I was given by my ex-MIL. I also have a complete set of my son's birthstone (blue topaz) that I was given after his birth and I do wear those. I HAD an opal ring that was my mom's but my daughter confiscated it for her own use ;)

I do have a pair of mid calf jeans with rhinestones (which I love), and I had a pair of tennis shoes with glitter for the longest time, but generally I am not a bling person, not cause I don't like bling - I've got tons of cheap jewelry, rings bracelets, necklaces, and a wee bit of good stuff, I just can't tolerate anything attached to me for any length of time. If I'm going somewhere I slap on something that matches my outfit, but usually I'm removing it in the car on the way home..

I've worn the same silver and gold earrings for ever - and that is basically it.

I've lost two wedding rings because I take them off and set them down somewhere. The most recent one hides in my jewelry box with my birthstone sapphire earrings and necklace, until my husband and i go somewhere really special - then if i take them off i give them to him for safeguard.

I'm really not into bling. I tend to wear the same earrings/necklace every day, even though I have lots of jewelry. I got out of the habit of wearing it when the kids were babies (they loved to pull hard on them!). My birthstone is Sapphire, so I have some stones on my engagement ring, and I love the color it brings to it.

But my DD? Totally not into bling unless she's skating at a competition - then bring on the sparkles: mascara, hair spray, eye shadow, body powder, crystals everywhere, shiny fabrics, glitter... The saying is that a skater can't have too much bling! (Well, they can, but that's not the point of this thread, is it! ha!)

Speaking of which, I'm gathering everything up to bring her to the regional skating competition. Gotta run so I can get it all together before picking her up from school!
