OK. It's almost time. Right?

Hoodies are all the rage at my house. We have dozens between all of my crew. But I hate them! Seriously. I'm almost positive it's because my hair is always bunched up in that hood and it never lays right... making me feel all uneven and stuff. Plus, it's just too much around my neck. I feel claustrophobic. How sad is that?

I'm a weirdo, right? Am I alone?

So, I prefer sweatshirts (without that hood) even though my DH tells me they are too old fashioned and nobody wears them any more. WHA? I even bought a hoodie last year to look cool, LOL. Just.couldn't.do.it.

I also like light weight jersey or drifit jackets, even just around the house. It is rarely cold enough here for anything heavier.

Now, maybe all of this Fall Weather Wear talk will help get our temperatures below 85 degrees. You think? :giggle

I love hoodies - but I totally get you on the bunchiness around the collar. I've found the trick for me is to buy them a size bigger than I need - that seems to give a bit more breathing room at the neck & cut down on the claustrophobic feeling.

I'm all about the hoodie, but it has to be the kind that zips, otherwise I feel like I'm being strangled. I'm not a big fan of sweatshirt fabric in any other form. My all time favorite cold weather wear will probably always be jeans, t-shirt & a flannel shirt, especially an old, well-washed one. Then the hoodie over that when necessary. I have an actual winter jacket, but I hate to wear it, so it spends most of it's time on the back of the door - snow days, or rainy winter days, are about the only exceptions.

I also like the zip up kind. Does that make is a sweatshirt jacket then? LOL!
My hubby LOVES hoodies and if I get cold enough I will use his to layer.

I hate them all LOL I would love to wear nothing but tank tops all year round. I can't stand anything up close to my neck, even collared shirts, and I don't like wearing jackets or coats at all. That being said, it does get really cold here, so I do own some of each and a hoodie is usually my go-to when I have to go out casually, jacket if I'm going to work.

Yes.... totally me too! I cannot wear turtlenecks because of that feeling!

Well, living in Michigan we wear sweatshirts and jackets 8 months out of the year, so I have a variety of all of them. I like pull over sweatshirts, but because of the reasons you mentioned, I am kind of picky on the type! I love the Under Armor ones because they are not super bulky and the hoods and neck are not too "overwhelming". I agree though - it's something about the hair and everything all right in the neck area. I have a quite a few zip up sweaters too, but those don't seem quite as comfy for lounging. And of course - always love a good jacket! Fitting that you wrote about this today, because today was the first day I had to haul out a jacket to go to work - up until today a sweater or cardigan has been fine for the short walk from my car to the office. Our coat season has begun I am afraid - putting the tanktops away until June. :(

And all these years, I thought I was one of just a few people who can't stand things around their neck - even jewelry. I think somebody must have lied to me about that when I was a child!

I stand with the can't stand stuff around my neck crowd. Only I'm worse. I wear earrings all the time but a necklace, bracelet, rings, even shoes. Take them away. If we go out I'll wear some jewelry (and shoes) but I'm usually taking off any necklaces or bracelets or rings in the car on the way home...
It's cold her. I have quite a few light weight sweaters I wear around the house and a faux fur lined coat to wear outdoors in winter.

Oh wow I love hoodies. I would wear them every day in fall and winter but they're not the biggest fashion and therefor I don't. But I love them. I wear them in the day, I wear them while on the sofa watching Netflix. I'm not big on the zipper-kind because zipping it up too high looks stupid and so I have to fuss about the shirt underneat.
But I also love sweaters. They feel like they are more fashionable and a bit less comfy. But love those too.
I am very much a winter girl. I love that it's time to wear warm clothing again. I love wearing my pretty new winter coat even though it's a little too hot in the afternoon yet. By the time we have to start wearing hats I'm truly happy. :)

I love hoodies. I'm not even sure I've ever owned a sweatshirt without a hood.

I had one sweatshirt without the hood and loved it for a long time, but I'm too claustrophobic for it now. It freaks me out to think of a hoodie. I don't even like seeing my daughter wear one. LOL. I have a hard time with the things around my neck as well. Especially since most of the time, I have extreme pain in my neck/shoulders. Some days, even my hair touching the back of my neck drives me crazy. Like Jan, 95% of what I wear at the moment are spaghetti strap or tank tops with a sweater or a zipper hoodie (not zipped). I don't know what kind of claustrophobia I'd deal with if I had to wear sleeved shirts all of the time.

I have two Mossimo zippered hoodies from Target I bought back in 2003-ish. I literally wore them until they were falling apart. Half of a sleeve fell off of one, and the other, I'd have to try and figure out which hole in the sleeve I was supposed to put my arm through to get it on because it is hanging by a little scrap of material, :giggle but they were soooo comfy. My daughter threatened to throw them out if she saw them around the house, so I have them in hiding. hahahahahaha.

Oh man... I LOVE hoodies. I live in them. Every time we go somewhere new, I use it as an excuse to buy a new hoodie. Lol. I basically live in hoodies on the weekends. I don't like the zip up kid though because they never lay right when they are zipped up. I end up with a bulge in the front of my tummy. I don't need any more bulk there. :giggle

I'm totally a hoodie girl, even though I know that if the people from What Not to Wear ever came to my house, that's the first thing they'd throw away! I don't care if I'm a grandma and I'm too old. I still buy them and if it ever gets cold enough to wear a jacket here, that's what I grab. If I travel to where it's colder than hoodie weather, I'll wear a lightweight down vest over the hoodie! Sometimes another wind/rain jacket on over that (summer dress when I'm in Alaska LOL).

I will wear a lightweight sweater every now and again too. I bought a few from Target this year. It's still been too hot to wear them. I don't own a sweatshirt without a hood. I do have running jackets that zip up or slip on with a zippered neck to wear when running when it's cold. I think running or working out in a hoodie would be too constricting.

Oh gosh, another reason we are sisters from another misters! I wear a lot of tanks, even with layers over them, and flip fops here most all year along the coast! If it's gets "cold", say in the 40's -50's, I MAY break out a hoodie, that way I can control the zipper. I have had thyroid cancer, so even if not weather related, the scar on my neck is bothered by any rubbing that sweatshirts give.

Don't laugh but every SINGLE time I wear a hoodie I get stuck somewhere by the darn hoodie. It feels like someone is choking me when it happens. I hate them!

i love hoodies and have one on right now. it's cold here in NY already! i understand about the neck, bunched feeling though ... even though i am known to have a scarf wrapped around m7 neck all winter long (even inside) i get that feeling you talk about too. i have to wear my hair up usually if i have a hoodie on. but i love them so!
