Scary TV/Movies? | Pad Patter 9.14.15

I love anything horror, Im always either reading one, or watching one on Netflix. Like Cynthia, love HP Lovecraft, reading some at the mo!

I'm not sure I would be keen on him right now, but I was in my teens when I read The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward (it was called that in Spanish LOL) and fell in love with him!!!
I saw the movie not so long ago...was a bit dissapointed, but apart from a couple, or very few cases, I m always dissapointed with movies made from books....

I don't enjoy scary of any kind, and gore is the worst. When DH watches those I have to leave the room. I would be perfectly happy if all the scary movies disappeared off the face of the earth. :p
yeah. that.
am so with you on this one.
Sarita loves watching Saw.... I never even got near that film LOL

My hubby and I have been watching the Walking Dead and now are watching the companion series Fear the Walking Dead. I look TWD, but there's no way I could watch it alone. I don't get into the gory scary movies, but I love the psychological thrillers (again as long as I'm not watching alone)

We're Dead fans in this house too, Karen! We like scary movies too, or at least my daughter and I do. I'd have to say psych thrillers, like "Seven" so disturbing and "Red Dragon" come to mind. not slasher movies, although they do a heck of a lot of slashing on the Dead! Kimberly, I need to know what some of your scary book finds are.

no! i can't even look at the commercials for scary movies. puts too many thoughts in my head at night. when i was a teen (or bf kids) i could watch some of it, but after having kids something changed for me.

yeah. that.

I watched the first "Saw" movie, though I don't know how. I can't watch it again, and I couldn't watch any others.

I liked some of the M Night Shamalyan movies like 6th sense... loved that one.

didn't mind scary when I was younger. Never a fan of slasher/horror. Unfortunately, the past couple of years have emotionally been brutal to me and I just can't tolerate putting myself through something that will intentionally upset me. My body is too used to adrenaline rushes, feeling anxious and scared in real life that I don't want my body to feel that way for fun. Perhaps if I saw it with a group of people who were excited to see the movie, then I would feel the "fun" in it. But right now ... I just can't go there ... :/
