Seriously? Everywhere I go to order coffee they ask me if I want Iced or Hot? Even at McDonalds!

I know it's 100 degrees outside. I know it's two in the afternoon. So you have the ability to pour a drink that is perfectly wonderful over ice and call it a cold beverage... :whoopdedoo

Why, oh why would I want that? :groan

LOL. So perhaps I'm being a bit dramatic, but really, how refreshing is an iced coffee? If I need thirst quenching, I'll choose water or the liquid gold they call Diet Coke. If I need caffeine, give me my old fashioned HOT coffee. (I'm not too snobby for the fancy flavors, mind you, but still) :giggle

OK, peeps. Iced or Hot? What'll it be?
 
hahaha, I can't even jump on the iced coffee train! Is that wrong? I know it must be good, but when my coffee (which I have everyday even here in the 105 degree South) gets the least bit cold - blechk. I am done. Odd, right? My daughter loves all the flavors and iced but won't drink it hot. Maybe it's a generation thing? LOL!

I drink a lot of Crystal light flavors over ice, not much caffeine otherwise, and of course - Mimosa's - wine .... Mimosa's. haha :martini
 
i have to have at least two cups of hot coffee to start my day. then later if i feel like i want another pick me up ... and it is hot outside, i will always go for the iced coffee. love love LOVE the stuff.

and Danyale ... iced coffee is very different than sipping a cup of hot coffee that has lost its steamy-ness. bleh. i don't like that either. not the same at all as ICED coffee! :giggle

haha - i drink way more hot coffee than iced - but if it's really hot out and i'm in the mood for coffee -then iced it its! i love a creamy iced coffee (unsweet) - yum! so good!
 
either / or. I'm not so difficult. I like cold coffee very cold and with a bit of sugar.. HOT coffee is with creme only. Maybe a Latte but nothing else fancy..
 
I love iced coffee in the summer! Especially an iced coffee with mocha flavor... Occasionally I'll have a cup of hot coffee in the summer, but I usually have that in the colder months.
 
I have tried iced coffee twice, and both times I got heartburn so bad I thought someone had stabbed me in the chest with a machete and started twisting it. Most horrible experience ever. So I'm all about the hot!
 
Neither. I can't stand coffee at all. Even one drop. Not even mocha-flavored candies or cakes. Ugh. I have a total aversion to it, and I think I was born that way. LOL. I love the smell of coffee, but that is it.
 
Hot to start the day, and maybe on ice later in the afternoon if I need a little pick me up (in the summer that is). In the winter, hot coffee in the morning and hot tea in the afternoon. We all have our quirks, right?!!

YES to the cold coffee thing. I warm my coffee up all day long. And I do think it's a generational/age/yuppie thing. Thank you, Starbucks :giggle

Not that I'm uncool or anything... :whistle

This thread is cracking me up. The controversy - I had no idea. :giggle

I'm an equal opportunity coffee drinker - give it to me hot, cold, blended, whatever.
 
To me, they are totally different beverages. It's not like I ever think, "I'd like a coffee. Hmm, should it be hot or iced?" If I want a hot coffee, an iced coffee isn't going to cut it and vice versa. They taste completely different!

I used to hate coffee but I decided to like it because people kept wanting to meet up "for coffee" and I was getting tired of chai. (There are actually some web pages out there devoted to learning to acquire a taste for coffee. The Internet has everything.) Now I drink hot coffee every morning. Go figure.

I started drinking it in Med School. Wore that stinkin' pot OUT. :giggle
 
I a not a fan of iced coffee *yuck*. I will drink it hot no matter what the temp outside or what time of day, just gimme coffee!

Can't do the coffee thing either way...but I do tea and I take it either way. Just depends on my mood.
 
I'm not really a hot beverage kind of gal - even now in the middle of winter here I might have one hot chocolate every week or two if that (I'm lactose intolerant too) and much prefer diet coke, iced tea and juice all year
 
I only drink coffee in the morning and usually have tea in the evening.

the iced is more of a treat and only once in a while, a Ice Cap, Chocolate Chill from Tim Hortons or the vanilla chai tea frappe from McDonald's. Those are more of a late afternoon early evening treat.

I totally did not snort laugh out loud at the Drs. with my daughter when I read that :angel
 
Hot or cold, black or flavored. Doesn't matter. I drink it. Doesn't matter time of day. ... totally depends on how lazy I am. And if a barista or drive thru asks me, I panic with indecision. :giggle
