Pad Patter 7.7.15: Toys You Remember

I was a color-er, lol! I had a love affair with crayons, coloring books, and the like. Fashion Plates and the Spirograph, lol! I even gave my kids a Spirograph last Christmas... :P

I loved my Cabbage Patch Kid - we all thought it was amazing that it was named with one of my close cousins names and my mom's name as a middle name. I think she is still somewhere at my mother's house. Strawberry Shortcake, and Rainbow Brite too!

I also loved Speak and Spell - lol, I know, odd.

I have a Spirograph still.... And the speak and spell reminded me of Dane Cook. He had a bit about those....

I know we are talking about old toys here....but is it too bad that these are new for me?! lol :) toys must've been very different when I was growing up in India! These weren't popular toys there! Oh to be young again and to have these! :)

loved my Barbies and all the stuff they came with; townhouse, camper, pool, plane, car etc. Also had the big Barbie head you could do the hair and makeup. When I was really little I had a Mrs. Beasely doll whom I loved dearly.

Lego bricks, could spend hours with them. My bike , my dolls house and Barbie too.
Anything else was Book or stationary related ,colours, paper , erasers, Famous 5 books ,Nancy Drew too, even though I found it hard to understand how she was allowed to drive when she was still in high school ( in Denmark you have to de 18 to get your licence ).

oh my gosh Vivi I forgot all about Nancy Drew books!! I think I had most of them, Trixie Belden as well and my pre-curser to those were the Bobbsy Twins :)
