It's Monday!! For us, it's the first back to school day after Winter Break. Man, it was hard to wake up this morning. LOL What do you have planned for the week...besides MOC of course?!

My youngest has been really sick during vacation so we are going back to the doctor for a pneumonia recheck. I am praying that she gets the all clear because it's been a scary few weeks. I have two big projects going on at school. I'm the chair for the school carnival in February, so this is when we kick into high gear with working on the decorations and ticket fulfillment. And, naturally, we're cooking up even more fun and excitement for TLP, so that's going fill up my week too.

How about you?

Hope your daughter gets the all clear and is doing better.

I agree, it was sooo hard getting up this morning for work, granted I didn't fall asleep until after 3 am :(

We have our Open House here at the school on Wednesday night and I am still trying to figure out what I am going to say, lol. Hopefully no one wants to talk to me and I can just be visible. I have voluntold my son for the night to help out as well, poor guy gets roped into all this stuff.

Other than that a pretty quiet week in terms of evenings at home.

It is back to school and back to work for us. This morning was extra tough since we had -34C with the wind chill and walking to the bus stop was brutal. We're down a car right now, so I didn't even have the option of driving the kids to the bus stop.

This is a week of getting back into routines. Lots of soccer, Cubs, Scouts, parkour classes. Plus getting the kids back into the routine of homework first and limited time on electronic devices.

Sheesh Laura, you make me dizzy with your workload. I'm doing good to keep on top of the grocery shopping, laundry, house, cooking and chauffeuring the boys to and from school and their other activities and still finding some scrapping time.

It was nice to get everyone back to school and work today after the winter holiday. I feel like I can think a little more clearly when there isn't as much commotion around the house. Just me and the Rookster and blessed peace and quiet!

I'd been wondering how Julia was doing, hope she gets the all clear. As bad as the flu season is this year, it is kind of scary to have the kids back in school spreading it even more quickly. I so want everyone to stay healthy this year!

As for the carnival, if you want help just yell!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? You said two years ago "Never again!" about that dang carnival! :lmao Sucker!

It's back to work for me - normally I'm happy to get back into a routine, but I'm struggling this time! I have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon, so I think I'm going to work from home tomorrow. And we FINALLY get our new furniture tonight! It was our Christmas present this year, supposed to be delivered December 18, but ... no.

Other than that, nothing horribly exciting or out of the ordinary. Except for this MOC thing everyone keeps talking about ...

I know. I know. And I've done it every year since. Nobody else wants the job because it's too much work. LOL But my kids LOVE the carnival and without a chair, they won't hold it, so I pretty much have to do it. :whistles

Yep, I'm back in routine too - off to summer school for the next 6 1/2 weeks doing one of my 9 papers for this year. This is an exciting point for me as it marks the start of my final year for my undergrad degree

I'm putting away the Xmas stuff (never did get around to it over the wkend), am going to make a big batch of chili tonight for the freezer and make up some taco salad jars for lunch during the week. My hubs is away tonight for work and I'm PVR'ing my shows so I can just scrap and putter around the house.

Laura hope your daughter's recheck comes back all clear. You always have so much on your plate, don't know how you do it!

Today was our first day back after 2 weeks off for Winter Break as well. So glad to be back to a routine again, but I did not like the 5:30 am alarm clock! After a relatively quiet Nov/Dec (at least quite for after school activities) ... this week my son starts the Crew (rowing) winter training. It is pretty far to get to the boathouse and practice runs for 2.5 hours. Not worth it to drive there and back, sooooo ... on the days I drive (probably 2x per week) I will be sitting in a cold car for 2.5 hours reading & waiting and spending 45 - 60 minutes driving/picking up boys to get there and then 45 -60 minutes driving home/dropping off boys. FUN TIMES. My daughter is doing some different winter soccer programs and is part of the Crew for the Drama Club at her school. Lots going on over here come 3pm everyday! I think I need to start cooking our dinners at Noon time!

It's MY last week of break before school starts, and I've got a crazy semester so hopefully I can get a lot done around here this week. Including taking my tree down. It's undecorated but still standing there. LOL

. . . make up some taco salad jars for lunch during the week.

I think I need to know more about these taco salad jars . . .
And back to work for me this week too. I've been off since the 17th. Ooooooohhhh, it was soooo hard to get up this morning and get out the door. As for this week, probably a little TV with shows starting back up, and hopefully staying caught up on MOC. Need to get back to the gym as I was sick for about a week over my break and missed out.

Back to work for me today, the girls go back on Wednesday. I anticipate a week of early bedtimes and full meltdowns. Putting Dunkin' Donuts on speed dial.

Just got home from traveling yesterday so there is much to be done!!
exciting stuff like laundry, taking down the Christmas tree, organizing the pantry, etc. Kids go back on Tuesday. Kinda can't wait. :giggle

We hit the thrift stores today...all the kids are still out of school. I got some puzzles so quiet is in my house. These kids are so addicted to puzzles.
School starts on Wednesday, so today really is the last day to just not worry.
Tomorrow we prep for back to school, and then back to the normal insanity!

and Laura!! I am rolling that you are doing the carnival again...

Last day of vacation for me and Zac! I go back to work tomorrow and he goes back to school (if we don't end up with a snow day from the storm headed our way!) Dh went back to work today. He has been off two weeks while the University was closed. He messaged me at 2 pm and said he was ready for his afternoon nap. LOL!

I took down the Christmas stuff yesterday. I think this is the latest I've ever done it. Today I've been cooking and cleaning for our second youngest's 22 birthday dinner (with a little scrapping thrown in.)

Hope you're daughter gets the all clear Laura. I've been fighting chest stuff since the first of December! It's totally no fun.

I hope she gets the all clear Laura. Baby boy has bronchitis and had to go to the ER last night. They gave him steroids and a treatment...sent him home with meds, but the wheezing and coughing are worse today. These things scare me!!

I've been sick the last few days (cold/cough symptoms) so I pretty much stayed in my jammies most of the day, scrapped, helped with sick babies.

I'm hoping to fly to San Francisco on Wednesday so I have to be well by then! I need a little time away to play!!!

tomorrow we have hospital, I have started cooking for freezing food for when Sarita is in bed, so this week will be pretty much that: kitchen and The Lilypad!!!!

Putting Dunkin' Donuts on speed dial.
Oh, I wish!

Hubby was away this weekend, so the kids & I set a back to school routine. It went so well. They had a great day at school. Brody already finished his homework for the week. Teeth brushed & toys cleaned up at 7pm. I set the timer for 730p for tablet time. When that timer went off, Brody told his little brother "Jamie, it's time for bed". Off they went, no issues. I love this!

It is actually Tuesday for us now, but yesterday we started back at our Co-op - which was hectic. I am teaching two art classes this term- one is an Art Journaling class for middle and high-schoolers. I was really nervous but they all seem to really be excited about it.

Either way we were all so tired here that we were asleep by 10, which is unheard of for me!
