Pad Patter: 9/30 How did you find the pad? Who? When?

I had already fallen in love with Mirjam's designs before and started posting layouts here. But really it was Anne's Heart At Home AJ Challenge that drew me in. I LOVED Anne's AJ challenges as well as the AJ chats. And the community was so super friendly I felt as home (and I still do).

I came after finding where Kate Hadfield was selling her designs... I joined in 2011, but I know I was visiting before and then became a CT for Kate Oct/Nov 2011

i can't exactly remember how i came over the pad - i feel like i was always shopping here! my profile was started in 2009 - which is probably when i started CT'ing for jacque. i stalked her, kate, natalie, amy m, and nancy comelab for a long time before then:) i found a few pages in my DST gallery from 2007 using some old products from here ;)

for example - i was obsessed by these goodies from kate:

i was SO shocked and beyond happy when i became a polly!

I have Kate's staples (the best!), but I never saw her rubber bands...Kate? Kate? Can you link us up?

I am pretty sure I followed Krista (Sahlin Studio) over here. Then, I fell in love with the gallery. There were so many amazingly creative pages.... and I wanted to scrap just like everyone on the team. Whenever the newsletters came out, I was so excited to see the new goodies and the layouts created with them. I was not a big poster, but I always felt everyone was so welcoming and genuine. Little by little I started buying products from the other designers and I was hooked. I said one day I am going to make it on their team...I have to because I just love everything about this place. :)

This thread is so fun!!

I was shopping here for awhile before I actually posted anything. I initially came for Valorie Wibbens and Sahlin Studio, but was very happy to be introduced to all the amazing "new to me" designers at the Pad. I finally joined during iNSD in 2012, and what really clenched it for me was the community. I remember being completely shocked that my first layout got several comments. Then I started doing the challenges, which I LOVE here because the system is so simple and easy to keep up with. And I was pretty much hooked.

This is the first place that I ever got up the courage to apply for a CT - mainly because everyone is so warm and encouraging. Still have Val's acceptance email in my inbox.:giggle

Then, icing on the cake, I was the lucky, lucky girl who got a Polly spot after completing all the challenges during MOC this year.

My story is shorter than yours. :giggle
I came to check out TLP after I saw a post from Amanda on facebook, saying there was a ct call in this great community.
I had heard from TLP before, but didn't know what it stood for and I was curious. Then, I was blown away by the gallery and when I read everything that was going in the forum, I wanted to be part of it. I still don't understand why I haven't been here before...????
As everyone of you I am never going to leave, since I love it so much here. This has become my digi home! :heartslub

Oh wow! I don't remember, it's been soooo long. I know it had something to do with Valorie Wibbens or Lauren Reid and a CT application. I started digi scrapbooking in 2008 and my memory is terrible lately :/

I joined a Facebook group with some photography friends and they mentioned TLP as a good place to pick up supplies... and it stuck. Two months later I attempted the MOC, but only finished one page. I'd just started scrapbooking (digi or paper) two months prior. I started doing the challenges and I keep on doing them. :)

I have been in love with Liz, Peppermint and Krista forever!! I came over to buy a few of their items from time to time but I think I made the switch during the MOC in 2013...I was homeless for a while and I was a silent lurker in the forums, but I remember reading about the challenges and all the excitement in the forum!! I absolutely love the community here and have been blessed with the opportunity to work for a couple of the amazing designers here. I have found my forever home for digi scrapping!!!

I have Kate's staples (the best!), but I never saw her rubber bands...Kate? Kate? Can you link us up?
Oh my, those are OLLLLD! I'm not sure I even have them anymore, I think they might be on my old EHD - let me see if I can find them for you!

I followed Natalie Braxton over from her blog when the Pad first opened, before it had forums or a gallery. SO many changes since then, but I've loved watching the progression of the site as it's grown into such a fantastic community!

This is me too. I was on Natalie's and Amy W's CTs before TLP opened - I remember all the excited chatter about when it was going to open! I started designing here the month after the store opened :)

I followed Krista Sahlin over here and popped in and out of the store and forum for awhile. I joined in the summer of 2011. From the get go I was a chatty Kathy. In October I joined Kate's CT team and did hybrid for her. A year later I guested for TLP doing hybrid. They asked me to be a Polly despite the fact that I would miss my first month of Polly-ism due to having a baby. That right there is what keeps me here at The Pad! The kindness and support that oozes from everyone is amazing! And I may have done a HUGE happy dance when Amber, who I CT for, landed here as well!

I really really enjoy reading everyone's story, it's sooo much fun!

I can't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure it was related to a July BYOC many years ago. I remember seeing a few pages someone (maybe Amanda Resende) had done and the credits said BYOC @ TLP. I had NO idea what that meant, but I knew I wanted those products!! I got hooked on the BYOC and then got super hooked on Kaye Winiecki's stuff and I sorta stalked her for a while :giggle

I was a lurker, but then I got the chance to scrap for Sabrina in 2012. Then that god awful Sandy hit, and life got super crazy, and I lost my mojo for months. I lurked some more after that, and then recently I was able to join in more when Amber made her home here! The community is wonderful!

I had found Liz and Peppermint when they were at other stores and then one day I found them here and so I stayed. I grew to love the other designers too and started joining in on the challenges. TLP is a big part of my scrapping world.

I've been here since the beginning, but didn't become active until a couple years ago. :)

I found TLP through Pinterest, The Source of All Knowledge! In Feb/March of 2013, I went to my friends' wedding in New Zealand (and stopped of in Hawaii on the way). I posted photos on a Pinterest board for all my family to see, because it was the only place I could think of that everyone could access (most of my extended family is not on Facebook). I was on Pinterest every night and somehow discovered Project Life. Well now. I was obsessed! I discovered travel scrapbooking & mini-albums and there was no going back. Through Pinterest I found Lili's 4x6 photo templates and Kate's Snippets alphas, which I absolutely needed for my Hawaii mini-album. I had no interest in the forum because of bad experiences with forums in the past, but then came Pick Your Prize during iNSD 2013 and I've been here ever since. It took two months before I attempted a challenge (scrapbooking was still new to me!), but wow, I was so excited when someone actually commented on my page (thank you, Petra! :)). Now this is my home!

Love reading through this thread! :)
