scrapbook quirks

Hhhmmm, good question, never had thought about this.

My biggest struggle might be scrapping a page with no picture in it. I have done some (I think I can count it on my fingers).
When It's for a book cover, I seem to have it easier. But when it comes down to scrapping a quote or simply a stroy without photos, I'm really struggling.
oh me too! i'm the same way.

oh yes, must have a photo and I also make sure I layer digitally the way I would if it was a three dimensional layout.

I am sure I actually have a zillion quirks, but they are so ingrained in me now I assume everyone else is the same way! :giggle

I don't care if the buttons are threaded, but they MUST be on the page. lol

I have a paper scrapping friend who can't abide unthreaded buttons-- she pulls out floss and threads them before she GLUES them to the page! :)

OI have a problem using "bulky" frames. I think I'm more of a "matter" than a "framer", although I like paper/flat frames pretty well.

fonts do not have shadows.....they must be on the paper...this is a big one for me!

Both of these.... lol! I tend to scrap a lot of double pages, so I watch my edging, just in case I can't print flat. :) Another odd one is that I have to have the "opposite" shadow. When papers lay flat, they really don't lay completely flat on the side that doesn't have a shadow... so I add the "opposite" shadow. :)

I can't do the overly dimensional things, either. If I couldn't imagine smashing it into a page protector it's a no go.

I pretty much have to have a date somewhere on the page. I will go back and add one if I realize I left it off.

I don't do foilage for the most part. I'm quite happy with my leafless flowers.

I can't do small photos. The smallest I usually go on a full layout is 4x6. Photoless I'm fine with, but I don't see the point of a 12x12 layout for a tiny, tiny photo.

I have a hard time with minimalist pages.. I try and then I just keep adding more. I just cram it full.. My theory is that a 12x12 page is a whole lot space when printed and I should use it up to tell my story. Ha. So many gorgeous minimalist pages in the gallery that I love though.

I must have a date, I more often than not use a white border on my pics, I stick to the same 2-3 fonts on my Pl pages, I always have a doodle somewhere.. I'm always tilting stuff on my pages. I could probably keep going with my quirks but those are the biggies.

I have a hard time leaving everything perfectly straight - never would have happened when I paper scrapped, still doesn't happen when I make hybrid pages/projects, so I have to wonky my pics just an itty bit for my page to feel right.

Need a date on my page, and I have a very hard time using elements that aren't something that I would actually smash into my album (like realistic looking pinecones or Christmas ornaments)

that plus i'm a weirdo too apparently b'cos i can't clip a photo to a circle either. and there really has to be a photo, cos that's the point to me. Take or leave the journalling sometimes. I'm challenged by 'real' flowers and leaves - i'm not really a fan either,, maybe becos they seem bulky?? And the purposely tilting some blocks by like less than 3 degrees, esp. on PL type pages helps them look more 'real' (ie. papery imperfect) to me.
