Has it been a new to you designer here at TLP? A style? Something else...

I'll start....for me it was Art Journaling.

Before MOC it was just not my cup of tea. I like to look at the pages but to actually do them....I just couldn't get it together. Since MOC started, I've done 3 art journalish pages and I'm kinda diggin it.

Project life/pocket style pages!

After doing the challenge about "the week" I decided that I'll be doing project life for the 1st time

I always admired the scrappers who did these pages and never thought that I would be able to do them justice, it's a learning process, figuring out my PL style, but I'm really enjoying it!

I've also realised that scrapping is just like riding a bike! Cliche I know! But after a year with hardly scrapping at all, I've managed to find my mojo and enjoy this hobby once again!

Thanks TLP I couldn't have done it without MOC!

Xxx

I have discovered that I really can scrap more than a page a day, these MOC challenges as well as the January challenges. I still don't like artsy journaling pages for me.

that's totally me as well. I love doing the PL style pages and I'm always looking for ways to work that into the layouts hehe.

I found a style, most definitely. I look at some of my pages before I joined TLP and cringe and want to remake them (read: my entire Disneyland 2013 scrapbook). I have a new style now that I enjoy more than my old one (of course styles and stuff change). It's simpler. Before I had so many layered papers that I didn't know what I was doing and I was clipping random papers onto templates and hoping that they looked good. Here, there's less layers, so it doesn't feel as cluttered.

Who knows, maybe after MOC and my Broadway Book, I'll go back and re-make my Disneyland 2013 album. Who knows.

I hope you hear me whoop whoop wooo all the way over here...and my favorite is when your AJ style blends with your regular memory style..a.nd make beautiful pages!!

I discovered that I'm really SLOW loooooolll. And I discovered that I'm much better at doing clean, graphic style pages than at messy arty pages. And I can't believe that I only have five more challenges to go. I never thought I would get that far, especially not with work being so busy at the moment. I was sure I would have to quit early.

It is and was a lovely experience!! Thanks a lot!!

I learned to follow my heart and not let my natural insecurity take the reigns... usually, I'm always scared that a page is really bad, every time- with one challenge every day, I didn't have that luxury. I learned to follow my first idea, my first take, my first inspiration. No running away, no pushing things to next day, next week because I'm too scared to face the challenge and secretly think that I can't do it. In short, I learned to brood less, and DO more.

I have discovered we have a whole lot of truly amazing scrappers here at TLP! I am awed by all the creativity and talent in your layout threads!!

I'm new here and had just a few kits to work with, no budget to speak of, so that added to the challenge. I have gotten more pages done this month, than all last year. I don't love them all--but I'm doing them.
So I learned that challenges/classes are what keeps me scrapping. Left to my own devices I play too much. Plus the feed back from folks has been very helpful and motivating. Thanks very much for the warm welcome.

I have created so many pages that I just love! I've been inspired by all the gorgeous pages you all are creating. And I've become really addicted to using brushes.

I, too, have hardly scrapped for a year! And it's actually easier than riding a bike (I tried a couple years ago to ride a bike again after 9 years of not riding and I actually forgot how)...

For me, my discoveries have been Just Jaimee as a designer, and for a skill/style the art journaling. I've tried art journaling before, but more from a paper perspective and I find the digital much easier. I am hoping to go hybrid on one of these MOC challenges that art-journaling friendly.

I'm in awe that I've created so many pages! :) I love it! I've definitely found a new love for digi-scrapping!

For me it was probably art journaling . . . hadn't tried it digitally before. I also made my first project life type page and I'd love to continue doing these.

I've learned that sometimes I really like a page, but I can't tell you why. And that I feel lame writing in the comments "I really like this." so I don't write anything.

I've learned I still hate advanced shadowing, and should just buy a set of shadows.

I've learned I love having scrappy time at the end of every day even if I use it to check out the forums or gallery instead of scrapping.

I need to take more pictures of everything and everyone else in the world and less of my daughter.

Am I a bad mom for being bored of scrapping her for 75% of my MOC layouts?! :giggle

That my procrastination has hit epic heights and that my brain just stops working in the face of a challenge I don't want to do. I'm still 6 days behind. Ughhhh.....

Last year I finished them all and I really discovered that I'm a clean and simple scrapper. I loved it here so much that I've been here a whole year now!
