Hi all--I am really new to this digi scraping--but am so loving collecting all the kits and looking at the pretty designs--I just purchased YaYeah's Old Fashioned Girl--partly because I liked the look of the alpha set in it--now when I open it--all the letters are on one png file--how do you use the letters individually???
Thanks--Terri

You use the marquee selection tool to draw roughly around the letter (in the empty space), then copy and paste onto your page. They will paste onto separate layers that you can move around individually later.

Sometimes you can use the rectangular selection tool too. That's even easier. ;)

Honestly, I end up cropping and saving the individual letters as separate files, or not using the alpha at all, because I hate sheet alphas that much. I know it depends on the program you're using, but for me they are a LOT more effort than separate PNGs, which I can just drag right onto my LO from Finder.

I drag it on and then using the rectangular marquee tool I highlight the letter I want and hit ctrl-J on a PC or cmnd-J on a Mac and then do that for each letter I need... I like having the full sheet there in case I change my mind on title or word-art

Thanks all for your help--I will try that and see how it goes!!

I'm with you--I prefer the full sheet :)
