This little guy followed a friend home last night, and we took him in. Turns out he's about three & a half months old, most likely a Labradoodle mix. He's completely sweet and adorable. We washed him to get rid of the fleas, but other than that and some matted hair, he's in generally good condition. No microchip (which means he's not a store puppy that was dumped). No collar, nothing. I'm starting the owner search in earnest tomorrow.

Kinda hope I don't find the original owner. We've all kind of fallen for the little guy.
 
I would love him too if he followed me home ... I hope that you get to keep him!

Aww. Any luck in finding the owner? I'm sure someone must be missing that cutie-pie.
 
Upon a deeper discussion with my daughters boyfriend: his family saw a pregnant dog that looked a lot like the puppy a few months ago. Then over a month (or longer) they noticed the puppy around the neighborhood, usually from a distance, but definitely the same dog. I don't know if they've seen the mom dog again. Honestly? We don't think anyone ever "owned" him--maybe fed him or sheltered briefly, but that's it.

He's settled down a bit after more than a few accidents right in front of our bedroom door, no less! I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to get him checked out.
