After watching the video that Katie picked on The Digi Show a few weeks back (a guy who shot one second of video everyday for a year), I realized something about these projects. I work hard at trying to make sure I capture something different everyday but as I watched the video it hit me that this may not be the best way to approach things. For instance there are several days that are shot from inside a hospital, and it really hits home just how much a part of his life that hospital were for those days, vs if he had gone and shot other parts of his day. And the other thing I realized that there were several days throughout the video that he recorded games of Settler's of Catan. It just emphasizes that that's a game that they enjoy enough to play over and over. I sometimes get to feeling that my life is too mundane or boring to do projects like this (lol...doesn't stop me from trying though), but it hit me that if our lives are really mundane or boring (which they probably really aren't), shouldn't we be capturing those moments anyway. Isn't it amazing that in this digital age we can really show what our lives are like on a day to day basis, and not just capture the big events? He also makes comments that after shooting the same thing (i.e. him at his computer) for several days it motivates him to get up and do things. How great is that???
It really has me wanting to attempt P365 again, and not just my mishmash of PL that I've been doing this year (which is fine...it's what I needed to do this year to make it work for me).
If you haven't seen the video I'm talking about it's here:

It is just a different medium.
