what's good going on in your life?

I'm having one of those days (weeks) when i'm all poopy pouty crotchety woman. Everything is irritating me.. So I want to think about good things right now :p You too. Tell me 5 amazing things in your lives.

Here are 5 from me
1. The one (two or three) ingredient Banana "icecream". This is seriously the greatest thing ever. I love eating frozen bananas in general, and never thought of using the blender thing to make a "icecream" texture. I will be eating this all summer. AND YES. I am listing this as number one. Because DUDES. It is YUMMY. Nom nom nom.

2. Bacon. I've come full circle and am a full on meat eater now. and ... I love bacon. A lot. and have been saving bacon fat, and cooking with that. Some are worried that I was replaced with an alien.. because BACON. Bacon makes me happy. I had a discussion with the folks @ the cat shelter this afternoon.. They were all eating chocolate cake.. and I was like nope.. Nope I don't eat that stuff.. I only indulge in bacon now. They think I'm crazy. BACON IS DELICIOUS I WAS MISSING OUT FOR SO MANY YEARS!

3. Cats. The cats make me happy. There have been some super tough weeks where I just refused to do anything. at all.. Except work at the shelter. Those little fuzzy balls are really amazing. They fix everything. This is angel http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22472694?rvp=1 She's depressive and just sad.. She doesn't want to be bothered.. but lately she's really coming around. I love her. She's so fluffy and lovely. One day if I keep giving her lovies she's going to be the most perfect lap kitty ever. Also http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23184392 kittens. It's kitten season (they go so fast.. i get attached and then bam they're gone :p These are the latest though).

4. Connor. I mean, in general obviously there's the whole blah blah blah kids are the light of your world. But he's really awesome. Kids REALLY annoy me. like.. give me hives. I don't do well near children. But connor? he's rad. Sure, he's irritating sometimes.. but he's an 8 year old boy, that's his job. When he needs to be, he snaps out of that irritating blah and is the coolest calmest most sane child on the planet.

5. The bf. I've already gushed about him.. and yes, he is coming in at number five below my banana mush, bacon, cats and my kid.. he knows where he ranks in my life ^___^ he's a good guy.. and we're finally slowly coming to an understanding on what we both want in life. It's been a struggle, we're both idiots.. but I'm really happy, and I hope he realizes that. We're not gooey folk, it makes us both want to barf.. This weekend I was sitting being a doof staring off into space.. and he said I looked like I wanted him to say something.. so he says, in the most dramatically dorky way "You compleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeete me" and I made quite the disgusted face at him.. he laughed and said ah that's better. That's our relationship in a nutshell :p Me being angsty, and him being a dork. We're lovely together. :p

also wine, but.. I won't babble on about wine because that will make me sound like a lush :p :giggle

What a great idea...I need something like this today. I'm feeling a bit angsty myself.

Here's my list:
1. My husband and child...they really are my world.
2. There's still a roof over my head even though it feels iffy from month to month that we'll be able to pay rent/bills etc.
3. There's food in my fridge...not much...but it's there and we'll make it through.
4. My sister in law is visiting us right now and I'm so thankful that we get along really well.
5. As of today there is hope on the horizon for something new and probably better for us as a family. Trying not to get my hopes up though..had them shattered way too often in the past.

I just had the most amazing 9 mile run with my favorite running buddy. The body felt good, the company was excellent, everything just clicked.

And with that, all is right in my world. :)

1. My kids are awesome! I'm lucky to be their mom, I'm lucky my son will stay home for the next two years before I "empty nest".
2. My job truly is the BEST in the world. No where else could I have the freedom it gives me.
3. The unwavering devotion of the dog and the two cats. They are always thrilled to see me!
4. The plans for reorganizing the house a little makes me happy, gives me ideas...
5. My health is so much better this year! This whole older woman thing is tough on you...

ok...I had a bad mommy day today so this is helpful for me I think!

1. My new church family and friends. I LOVE them! I am sooo glad to have FINALLY found a place to call home and have met the most amazing people that I can be myself with and fellowship with and feel no judgements or like I have to live a certain way or some such. I can just be me and that's ok! I don't have to put on airs or anything. My new friends have helped me in the past year A TON! I feel like a new person!!

2. my books. might sound silly, but oh how I love to read. it's an amazing outlet for me and takes me to brand new places when I feel a bit overwhelmed with being home with the kids by myself all the time. I just love it!!

3. my husband. I was just thinking the other day...I am so short with him sometimes and so frustrated a lot of the time that I take him for granted. I was just sitting there the other day thinking about him and how well he balances me. He's pretty much my polar opposite. When I am stressed he's laid back. When I feel blue he always make me laugh. He's pretty awesome. <3

4. summer. I know a lot of people don't like the heat, but this is my favorite time of year! I need the vitamin d something fierce and I feel recharged in the sunshine! It's been so sunny and beautiful here and I LOVE it!! It's so much better than stupid winter which sucks!!! haha!

5. my kitchen being cleaned. I have been making it a point to always clean my kitchen before I read or scrap and I LOVE it! I make sure it's clean before bed too so I always get up to a clean kitchen. It helps me so much and helps my days to start on a good note!

6. my kids. adding this one so as not to seem heartless. LMBO! Today really was awful and I feel like a failure but I love them and I know that they know that.

2. my books. might sound silly, but oh how I love to read. it's an amazing outlet for me and takes me to brand new places when I feel a bit overwhelmed with being home with the kids by myself all the time. I just love it!!

books are not silly. i listed bacon and bananas :p

1. My husband is the most supportive, patient, amazing man!

2. So far things are a go with being in a fertility study where I will get free fertility treatments for four months with all needed dr. visits. This is truly an amazing opportunity!

3. I got a new job working as a direct support professional in a group home for adults with disabilities. Once I get my physical tomorrow they will schedule orientation.

4. My mom and stepdad are letting us live with them while we are trying to figure out how to fix our financial situation. It is very generous of them to make so many compromises so we can be here.

5. My dad (my parents are divorced and I'm living at my mom's house) is coming to my mom's house to build us a kitchen where my mom's laundry room is now. He is driving all the way from NYC to Pennsylvania to his ex-wife's house just to help us out. My brother will even be making a trip with him this weekend to help us out! Amazingly generous of everyone involved!

Great thread! Love focusing on the good.. easy to get carried away focusing on the bad or negative.

Here are mine..

1. Going back to school. After a few year hiatus with Savannah entering kindy this coming school year I can finally get back into school. Maybe one day I will actually get it completed lol

2. My freezer. It quit working, I was freaking out. Luckily I have deep freeze so I moved things there but was bummed about my other freezer (the one on the refrigerator). I know I know sounds not so good.. good part is coming. Then after a few days it just started working again. So Yay my freezer is back!

3. My hubster. Even when I can be a complete booty head he is there for me. Listening to me talk about designing or scrap stuff he has no clue what I am talking about (or is even remotely interested but listens anyway), making me smile and think positive when I am in a slump, and sending me a text for no reason other than just to say I love and miss you.

4. My kids. Some days I just want to go outside and scream to the top of my lungs while pulling my hair out. But then you have those days, the moments where they just make me smile and giggle like a kid myself. Whether it is the funny things they say out of the blue or dancing around the living room together they just know how to make it all worthwhile.

5. My husbands new job. Things were getting scary for a bit there but now it is all coming back together and we are so thankful for it.

I know this is more than 5 but...

6. The lady that took 4 out of the 6 kittens. I know I was crazy to try to take on 6 abandoned kittens but I couldn't just leave them at our humane society (it is a kill shelter) so I hand feed them, taught them everything and was sooo thankful that 4 of them found a new forever home.

This is a great thread. : ) And bacon clearly deserves a spot on anyone's list, except mine because I can't afford the good bacon.

1. Watching my boys interact with their baby sister. They are seriously so sweet, snuggling and singing and loving on her.

2. My newfound ability to use flowers without any self control on layouts. Baby girl clothes. Pink.

3. Eric Hutchinson's new album. I just downloaded it, and it makes the baby stop crying, so I listen to it all the time. Love it!

4. The man in my life keeps saying, "Be sure to get a nap today" and doing dishes and making dinner. He's a keeper.

5. My helper is coming in 3 times a week these days, and even though it makes me crazy to have her in my house all day, I do love having a clean house.

Oh great idea La. And mmm... bacon... the candy of meats. :)

1. church. It's always the uplift I need, but this week was especially wonderful. I had such a rotten week last week, but everything I heard and felt this Sunday at church really put everything in perspective and I've felt so good ever since.

2. strawberries. We planted some last year and they've really taken off this year. We have so many and I love just eating them by the handfuls.

3. the weather! I have been so COLD this winter and spring... I'm finally thawing out and it feels so good. Even the days it's been melting hot are so much better than freezing.

4. my neighbor across the street. Her name is Amy, she's a mom to seven kids, and she's just amazing. I've always had a hard time making friends but with her it's easy. We can talk for hours, and often do. She's always there to watch my kids in a pinch (and vice versa), or let me borrow something I need like that one ingredient I'm out of or a good book, or just to listen if I need another adult to talk to. She's got such a full plate herself but is always looking for ways to help other people, she's such a great example to me.

5. my hubby. Can't leave him out! He doesn't always understand, but he sure does try. And when he knows I'm down he'll do all kinds of sweet things to try and help out or cheer me up. He really is the best.

I need this right now. I've been in a funk all day...and I'm sure I'll still be in it tomorrow too (cuz it's Ryan's birthday tomorrow and he's the one that I'm mostly all funked up about).

but here goes:

1. Work. I need the money, and I need the time away from my dh.
2. Rick's numbness is getting better in his legs and hands. Finally...some noticable improvement.
3. Fro-yo. I needed it tonight. I'm giving it up tomorrow and I'll be eating bacon too...and then I can gush about bacon.
4. I have my ticket to see my folks and cousins in July.
5. I have my ticket to go up to Seattle at the end of August and to see the King Tut exhibit...and all sorts of other fun things!

Happy to focus on the happy. I have a Gratitude Journal that I write in periodically to help me remember what's important.
1. My husband and daughter are truly the greatest people I could ask for to be by my side every day.
2. My school year is ending and I won't have to write lesson plans for 8 weeks. Plus, no daycare bills for 8 weeks too.
3. I have a wonderful group of students who have scored well on the end of year assessments
4. My in laws watch my girl for free every other Wednesday, clean our house AND cook dinner for us. Also, we're going home to Hawaii to visit my dad next month
5. And oh yeah.... I'm a Guest Polly!!!! :happydance2

1. My check's going to be about $20-30 more than normal thanks to all the in service and room set up last week.
2. Got to spend all day vegging with the big boys having an Avenger movies marathon to build up to me taking them to see it Friday.
3. The new kid at PDO who screamed and cryed all Tuesday is moving to the baby room tomorrow. lol
4. We actually didn't have a tight money week this week.
5. Ummm... does having Pringles count?

I am in love with this thread.

Here's five from me in no particular order.

1. Air Conditioning. I can't say how many times a day I give thanks for this. The heat has officially descended and the respite of cool air is really a blessing.

2. The people in my life who love me for me, who endure and are patient with my molassesness, who find my quirks endearing, who make me laugh, who listen when I need an ear, and who remind me, just by being with them, how blessed I am.

3. A warm fuzzy mommy moment this morning when picking Bugga up from VBS...makes me feel so happy about who she's growing to be. She has such a beautiful, kind heart.

4. Crafty goodies. I have really loved getting crafty lately and it's such a fun and fulfilling creative outlet.

5. Plans to meet with some really amazing and inspiring women in my life in July. So so looking forward to it and having something to look forward to is a long lasting squee.

What a great post!

Let's see.

1) I'm down 11 lbs!
2) Because I reached my first goal weight I got my hairs did today (haven't been in 7 months. Yes, it was bad).
3) The Dodgers won tonight!
4) My mom told my oldest that today he had the best attitude that she's seen him have in four months. YAY!
5) I'm happy that my husband has a job doing what he loves and I'm so thankful for all of the LONG hours he puts in to provide for our family, even when it means he has to miss out on the fun stuff! <3

5 Things, huh?!?!?!

1. FRIENDS! I am very fortunate to have a group of women that I can truly call my friends.....my sisters!

5. LEARNING! Although I'm not especially excited about tech conferences, I do like the fact that I'm learning something new everyday and I get to play with the newest tech gear.
