What's your ideal vacation? Beach? Mountains? Camping? Cushy hotel? What?

Did you have a favorite as a child?

When was your last one?

Oh such an appropriate topic for me today. It's our 10 year anniversary today and we are leaving on Thursday for our ideal vacation. A week with just the two of us at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. 82°, sunny, free food and drinks and nothing but free time to read and sleep and eat and play. We'll also be going scuba diving too and I LOVE that! :)

I love it all! My vacations, these days, are camping trips in our RV. Its a ton of fun with the big group we go with and never a dull moment! I do like getting away to a hotel though when its just DH & I.

I love to cruise! It's because you can go to different places and not have to pack your suitcase every night. My last cruise was for my daughter's graduation in 2009. My son wants to go to Philmont (with a scout group) instead of on a cruise with mom. Go figure!

I think cruising would be awesome! It's also a good way to do "all-inclusive" at places that don't have all-inclusive resorts. My favourite trip is Disneyland though :)

My dream vacation would be to camp across the United States...as a teenager I did two trips like this from Arkansas..one to Colorado and the other to Wyoming but I would love to go east coast to west coast.

Right now all of our vacations have been to visit family and friends. We haven't even been camping in over three years...something we are really hoping to rectify this summer.

We love the BEACH! It can be cold or warm. Doesn't matter. We just love the beach! <3

I love Disney and I like road trips, but I really hate the traveling part. I mostly spend my vacation time hanging out in New York City because it's a quick bus ride away.

My vacation memories as a kid were all pretty awful. My parents fought nonstop. I remember being bored in the car for hours and hours as we drove to Virginia or upstate New York. My parents gave up on trips eventually and just got a membership to the town pool. That was a lot better!

Despite all that, I really want to go to London, California and Graceland. And I want to go on a Disney Cruise. :)

My ideal vacation involves a little cabin (but still with all the modern conveniences) on a hill someplace in the South right next to a lake where I go boating all day, bonfiring on the beach at night, hanging out in nature, grilling out dinner, and spending time with my family and closest friends. Sigh.

Our last real vacation was our babymoon to Nashville 3 years ago this month while I was 6 or 7 months pg with DD. It's unlikely we'll do anything like that this summer, but hopefully, we can plan a lake getaway for NEXT spring or summer.

My parents took us camping every year. We usually had a tent, slept under the stars on cots, and also RV's. We LOVED it...My parents made it a wonderful experience. My mom made the amazing breakfasts everyday...we went fishing with my dad and ate those for dinner. I learned a lot. My husband wasn't the greatest outdoorsman, so unfortunately, my boys didn't get to have as many wonderful experiences as I did. I lived a block from the beach, but my parents hated the beach, so we rarely went. Instead, they put a pool in our back yard and we had lots and lots of pool parties.

For me now, I prefer hotels in big cities, B&B's in little towns, gorgeous resorts in a tropical location, traveling in Europe...but not so much camping anymore! LOL

I love cruising too! We have done cruises to Alaska, around Hawaii and around New Zealand then onto Australia. We are seriously thinking about cruising the Greek Islands later this year.
Anything that involves some relaxing, some culture & sightseeing and some shopping is the perfect vacation for me!

For me there are "trips" and then there are "vacations". Trips involve the whole family and that means lots of work for Mom & Dad! Fun, but tiring. Vacations are those rare times when you actually get to *relax*. DH and I haven't had one of those in over 7 years (since our first was born) but we are planning a trip to Hawaii just the two of us this June for our 10th anniversary. I cannot wait!

Well, my dream vacation would be a super cushy hotel with tons for the kids to do, activities and such. Beach a must too. But that is just in dreamland because I'd never spend that much, lol.

My fav vacation as a kid was camping at the Iowa State Fair.

Our last vacation was a camping trip - it is definitely our go-to vacation. We would rather go on several camping trips in the summer to various places and see the sights instead of 1 big uber-expensive trip somewhere with motels and all that. :)
