Do you print your digi layouts? What do you do with them when they are printed? Album or something else Or do you just get books printed? How often do you print?

Can you believe I have never printed a single one. I REALLY REALLY want to, I just have never sat down and done it. I am curious what the rest of you have to say.

yes!! i print mine out two or three times a year - i'm actually going to try to place an order tomorrow or friday - it's been a while. i print mine from persnickety prints, but i've used scrapbook pictures (no longer in business) and simply scrapping (i think that's what they are called) before too ... i LOVE having them printed out :)

Do you guys have some order to how you put them in books? I have layouts from various years and some general layouts. As a new scrapper I don't have books started for different periods of time. Does anyone put layouts from various periods of time in one book? I'm wanting to print and put in albums so I can move things around in the future. How are Costco prints? Is persnickety better?

I use Persnickety. They tend to have sales more often. I try and print twice a year when they have the 12 x 12 for $1.49. I put my pages in albums in chronological order. My kids each have their own album, and my hubby and I share a joint album. I love the look of photobooks, but I never could go that approach since I don't scrap chronological but must have my layouts chronological.

I have printed SOOOO many books. I started by doing individual pages, but that was expensive back in 2006 when I first started. I was paying $3.49 per page and I just could afford it with as many pages as I was cranking out! Now I do Shutterfly books. I don't scrap chronologically, but I do wait until my book is full in chronological order. So I bounce around and scrap whatever I feel like and then when I get close to filling a book, I'll go back and scrap the pages I need to fill the blanks so I can print my book.

I also have an album that is just random pages about me and I print those pages individually still and slip those into a Creative Memories 12x12 Picfolio album. Otherwise everything I scrap goes into either the boys individual books or our family book.

I usually print twice a year, in May and November when Persnickety Prints has sales for iNSD and NSD. and I LOVE to have them printed. If I am ever feeling mojo-less, getting out my albums and looking through them or seeing my boys look through them definitely inspires me to get going again.

I use 8x8 American Craft D ring albums that way they are pretty easy to arrange and re-arrange since I don't scrap chronologically.

i print a couple of times a year, too - just wait for sales. i put them in albums, have one for each kid and then a misc album and a together type album. i use postbound page protectors, though, and need to get rid of those because i also put them into the albums chronologically... and that's the biggest pain to pull them out to rearrange.

my kids LOVE going through the albums...

I print too...a little bit of everything. I have a wide format printer at home that I use for instant gratification. For extra layouts that go in my kids' books and to grandparents, I sometimes use Costco. I've also used Persnickety and MyPicTales. For anyone who hasn't printed - just DO IT! You will be so delighted with being able to flip through your pages.

I've printed - I just haven't in a LONG time. I don't scrap chronologically but I hate how huge albums are so I just print photobooks from Shutterfly. Sometimes I'll even get a coupon for a free books via email! The last book I printed was probably late summer 2011. I do print 8x8 instead of 12x12 because they're less cumbersome and are easier for my kids to handle. I have quite a few 12x12 albums from my paper scrapping days and they're just so huge - and heavy!

I haven't printed in a long time, and now I'm at the point where it would cost like $400 to catch up, and I'm not sure if I'll ever have the stomach for it. Ugh.

I really want them printed, though.

I did get my 2010 P365 book printed, and I love it. (I didn't do it in 2011) So I know I'll print this year's, if I finish it. lol

I have a lot of them printed and I put them in albums. I need new albums though so I can organize them a little better. I've had some printed into books too.

My books right now have no real order, other than one book is of extended family, one section is maybe of my animals, and I try to keep layouts of each boy in a separate section of my album...if they are all together it goes in a family section or album. I do need to organize them again since I just had more printed.

Like many people, I print a few times a year. If I don't have layouts ready, I still buy print credits at Persnickety and then print when I want. All the albums before I took Library of Memories were really chronological but I've changed that now. The kids have their own books, I have one for me, one for Places We Go, one People we love like friends, grandparents, the pets and a Things We Do which usually doesn't focus on one particular person but the family as a whole.

I put all the newly printed ones in one specific album when they come in so that everyone can look at them, then replace with the next order 6 months or so later. I put them in our albums pretty much in an empty space that fits or the next blank page. I might keep stuff from the same year around the same spot in the albums but I do not worry about what was in May vs June to get them in order. I'll have a layout about my daughter as a baby next to one from college and not think a thing about it because that's how I scrapped them.

Glad to read this thread. Now I need to remember to get more print credits!

I've been really bad at printing in the past...maybe only doing a big print twice in a 6 year span. :( But now that I'm doing PL, I've been printing out my layouts weekly and adding them into my album and I love it! Now I just need to get in gear and catch up with all my previous years!

I have 2 Shutterfly mini-albums done, and I had my December Daily 2011 printed at Viovio. I don't scrap chronologically, but I don't have a huge backlog of photos, either, so I have everything worth being scrapped done from 2006 - half of 2010. (I was with my ex from 2002 - 2006, and while that's mostly scrapped, I don't have any inclination to get that printed anytime soon, and before that I was in college.) I have Viovio books waiting to go for 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009; it's just that with how many pages I have done, the book would be $100+ and as much as I love how they look in books, I don't know that I want to sink that much money into them at once. I have on my to do list to open an account at Persnickety Prints so I can load it up and wait for a sale.

I've only printed one book so far, and it was a vacation album from 2008. It's almost 100 pages and I LOVE how it turned. I haven't printed anything since, though. :( I save my layouts in folders according to years unless they fall into a special category such as baby's 1st year, my kid's school pages, and so on. My goal is to print them into books once I finish a year / category. I've recently gotten into a big 2009 kick - I'm trying really hard to finish that year so I can print the album and be DONE with it!

I haven't printed in a long time, and now I'm at the point where it would cost like $400 to catch up, and I'm not sure if I'll ever have the stomach for it. Ugh.

This is also why I have to print semi regularly. That way, my budget can handle it in small doses!

I am pretty behind on my printing. I usually do a Shutterfly album every year for the fam - but that doesn't include all my pages. I have printed some projects just for myself recently - ordered prints from Persnickety - and I love them!

I am rethinking my 8x8 albums. I think I'm going to get rid of them all and organize my pages by year or theme in 8x8 binder so that I can add pages where they fit since I don't always scrap chronologically. Right now I have too many small books that don't hold many pages and my organization is a mess! It's keeping me from printing more pages.

I try to print all my layouts and put them in albums. I have no system though. They're kinda just thrown in there randomly.
