What's on your desk? Do you keep it neat or is it always piled high?

I try to keep mine neat, and mostly *I* do, but people like to pile stuff on it. :furious

Now that I got a little shelf to put my monitor on, I can stack my papers under there, and it helps a lot. But right now it's covered in race entries, a knitting project, a magazine that just came, and some information from soccer. Oy.

PS: I acknowledge that all that I listed above is in fact MY mess.

USUALLY it's mess other people have stacked. LOL

    lol!

I have a built in desk in my kitchen from the previous owner (we just moved in to our house in November) that I want to rip out because it's becoming a catch all for everything and drives me CRAZY!

I have a desk in between our kitchen and family room. It's very small, so there isn't room for clutter. I do have a small stack always in the one corner of "to-do" stuff, but it's usually not too bad. I use two monitors and they were taking up the entire desktop, so my hubby bought me two swing arm thugs and mounted my monitors to the wall. That helped SO much!

    I don't have a desk.

I use the laptop on my lap, mostly in the living room, and DH uses the dining room table for his school/work work. The end of the dining table where no one sits does drive me insane, though, as the boys pile stuff on it and next to it. Guess I will have to have 5 kids like someone else I know so that they can't leave stuff on there anymore! :giggle

My husband built me and him a his & hers desk that is built together, which also connects to my craft desk (I have two areas which doesn't seem like enough still :whistle ).

At work, I have a lot of pictures of my nieces, nephew and doggies, some art from the kids, some pez dispensers (Yoda, Bart & Lisa Simpson), some little turtles and owls, an R2D2, a Smurfette patch, Muppet coasters, and a lego Optimus Prime. Oh yeah, and stuff like pens, note pads, post its and a few coffee mugs and water bottles.

At home, I have a desk in my office which I haven't used since my tower died a few years ago! Since then, the desk has just become a pile of junk that I have forgotten about! I need to work on that! I mostly work off of two snack tables in the living room. One holds my laptop and the other usually holds a pile of bills and magazines, various craft tools and pens, some frames that I made but haven't delivered to friends, remotes for the TV and Wii, nail polish and whatever I'm snacking on!

So in other words, I am surrounded by clutter wherever I go!

You're not alone! I think we have clutter everywhere and up until a year ago, it really wasn't like that. I don't know what seemed to change but no matter how much we straighten it out, it manages to get cluttered up again. Next week though......major Spring cleaning is going to hit our house so DH better find something to do or he's helping! I'm going to the store this weekend to get us some organization tools.

Add me to the clutter club. My desk is always piled with the kids' school papers, bills, and lots and lots of random bits from my designing. I actually started cleaning it off about a week ago, because I hadn't been able to find my scissors for days. But once I found them, I stopped, so I'm still surrounded by the stacks of stuff I sorted. :giggle You can actually see the desktop in spots though! I am still missing my smaller scissors. Maybe I should just finish the job. :whistle

We have a his & hers table desk. It is piled. :p Ugh. So hate it. It was my goal this year to get uncluttered, but I can't do it alone.

My DD might be moving out soon, and that will help reduce, but DH still is a paperwork hoarder. I'm bad too, but at least when I clean, it is my mess. I hate having to clean up everyone else's too.

My desk is fairly cluttered. A few piles of paperwork, some kid stuff, cords, pens etc. I do clean it off regularly, but the clutter comes back real quick!
