please dont get me wrong. I love TLP, love the talent, love the monthly and other challenges, love the comraderie. But since we lost a bunch of my often used designers I don't see a lot of new designers coming on board in that more realistic style and multi type templates with lots of placement of embellishments. i miss that. I am wondering if TLP will be adding more designers in that style to replace the ones we don't have anymore. I love doing artsy type pages but my style is more realistic with themes that go with my photos ( mostly of grandkids ) . thanks

Have you checked out Studio Kaleidoscope, or ninigoesdigi, or Creative Retreat (fairly new to our shop) or Rachel Designs (Rachel Etrog) or Joyce Paul - she does have some artsy papers, but she also includes more traditional style elements and patterned papers?

I hear you and I completely understand missing some of the former designers. Truthfully, there are some I’d love to see come back as well.

At the same time, I have been actively pursuing conversations with other designers. My goal isn’t simply to add more designers, but to bring in designers who add different styles, products, and creative perspectives while also being a good fit for The Lilypad and the direction I want to see the site move in.

Finding that balance can take time. Some designers I’ve spoken with have been interested but life circumstances have slowed things down, while other conversations are still ongoing. I’m being intentional about the process because I want any additions to strengthen both the variety of products available and the creative spirit that has always been part of TLP.

@bjc Bobbie, I can understand what you are sharing in your post.
But strangely, I come here ( not all the time as I am busy elsewhere) with the specific aim to dabble in the more artsy style of scrapbooking. I am not great at artsy but enjoy having a go!

That Blog post by Justine was great to learn from for using the artsy products in a traditional way.

Bobbie, I totally get it! I'm a clean scrapper, leaning toward traditional, with a pop of paint. Haha!

I dabble in the painty ways, and I do enjoy it. I do miss extra clean designs, but nothing moreso than templates. I think Nini's suggestion link to traditional will help with easy to find items. I can say that Joyce, Kiana and Nini are go-to's for my traditional-like pages.

I have usually been a big template scrapper, so I know what you mean by missing those. I also love those heavily layered, no thinking required templates. There are not many of those in the store here.
But have a look at these:

Have you also checked out the Still Trending category?
There is much there in the more traditional or paper style scrapbooking.
Bobbie, I totally concur with this post from Stefanie ... I was just about to say it myself :giggle that the June Still Trending category has some lovely traditional products to choose from. I just scrapped with a couple myself and was pleased with how clean they looked (even though I'm an arty girl at heart).

I don't have young kids (or grandkids!) to scrap so I tend to scrap heritage photos OR my own travel pics these days. or 'artsy' mixed media pages. But if I DID have grandkids, I would be scrapping like that quite often I think :agree

PS Have you checked out my 'Design Story' category? My BYOC collections tend towards the traditional a bit more. Still an artsy twist (I love my paint) but lots of more traditional patterned papers and clean elements :-)

I am what I consider a digital hybrid scrapper (combining traditional and artsy style together on the digital canvas).

@KimJ has many traditional options including Felicity (https://the-lilypad.com/store/felicity-bundle/) and Woodland Friends 2 (https://the-lilypad.com/store/woodland-friends-2-bundle/)

And @LynnG has a lovely traditional kit called Best China - https://the-lilypad.com/store/best-china-kit/

@ninigoesdigi has a kit called Wander and Wonder that I like as well - https://the-lilypad.com/store/wander-wonder-kit/
