Apparently today is World Metal Music Day.

My husband loves it, and so does my eldest son.
I do too sometimes—I really like the band Nightwish.


Is this a style you listen to/have listened to?
 
DH likes it more than I do. We listen to metal covers by Leo Marocchioli mostly.

Oooh my very favorite cover song of all time!!

Yes! I am a metal head from wayyy back! Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Dio, Dokken....I love them all!!!

I'm with you on this too!!! I loooove it ! Even more than the original.

Metallica's Nothing else matter!! Yum!

Does guns and roses is metal? Maybe not? Probably hard rock, right?
 
I don't listen to it a ton, but I do like it! I have some metal on my gym playlist

Ok so I listened to this, and it's not what I think of when I think of metal music! So I googled a bit and learned that symphonic metal is a thing. Not a genre I knew about before! It's really beautiful.
 
It's not really a genre I listen to .... there might be the odd song here and there that I enjoy but that's the extent of my metal listening habits!

You got me curious with this. I am listenning at it now and I love it.
I totally see myself listenning to it while designing. I like to put some music without paroles so that my brain is not distracted by the English or French.

It kind of feel like movie music, right?

This is definitely not the idea I had of metal music but like Lynette I googled and found out about it. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

@ninigoesdigi @Lynnette for hubby and my son it's not enough dark.
Yesterday my son found a Metallica vinyl record to put under the tree, but he doesn't want the turntable that goes with it. He listens to songs that are much darker than what I shared in the first post.

Yeah, GnR is probably hard rock, but I always loved them too! :agree Great 90s hairband music! (and late 80s?)
