In honor of Be Late for Something Day.....

In your life, are you early, on time or late?

If you could change your current way, what would you change it to?

If you had to be late for something, what would it be?

Truthfully, a bit of all three at times. I do try to build in enough riggle room not to be late but as I'm relying on others for transport sometimes I can be a bit late

I'd love to be earlier if I could more often

Ooh, I'm not sure....maybe seeing a friend or family member as long as there was a good reason & I kept them up to date with when I'd be there.

On time

Early

Church lol

Since getting married to someone with time blindness I'm late for nearly everything. I've had to learn to get used to it. In the early years of my marriage it was a huge issue for me, as I grew up in the military and everything was regimented and bang on time. My councillor told me to stop wearing a watch, and to let go. It took a lot of effort, but now it's just part of my life - managing the time for the household only when it's important, and just going with the flow the rest of the time. People around us have got used to it now too.

Keep at early

My death… don’t want to be early for that… :giggle

I try to be early. My mom runs late and it makes me so anxious.

If you could change your current way, what would you change it to?
Being less anxious about being on time

If you had to be late for something, what would it be?

Waking up in the morning. I am so tired right now.

I'm an early bird, and I like it that way. Wouldn't want to change it. I'd rather be waiting than rushing.

Always early. If I'm on time, I'm late lol

I'm good with being early.

Work :giggle

My natural inclination would be to be on time-ish within 5 minutes or so if something unexpected happened. My hubby is such a stickler for being early, though, that being early is pretty ingrained in me now. When the kids were little, DH would start making announcements like "TEN MINUTES TIL DEPARTURE"! and then another one at 5 minutes. Honestly, it was very helpful and now my (adult) kids will get in on the action when they're here. :giggle

If it's me, I aim for, and usually am, slightly early. When wrangling other family members, often slightly late.

I'd love to always be on time but have accepted reality. Like @Angela Toucan I am married to someone with chronic time blindness, and it's how it always was in his family (genes ...). in MY family that was read as rudeness and they really struggled to understand it, and I spent years being frustrated. But now we understand and as much as we can, accept. I do a LOT of double checking though.

If you had to be late for something, what would it be?
Meeting up with DH somewhere, because he loves it if I am the one late. :dancebun

In your life, are you early, on time or late? I used to always be early, and still mostly am, but I'm getting ok with being on time or a couple minutes late (like to work, where it doesn't matter because no one cares until the advisors get in...took me a long time to get ok with that)

If you could change your current way, what would you change it to? I would still be early, but I wish I could stop obsessing about what time I need to leave all the time.

If you had to be late for something, what would it be? My ex-husband's funeral. I would want to slip in and slip out.

Agree 100%. Waking up or more specifically getting up is one thing I'd happily be late for. I often joke that unless I'm being paid, have an appointment or am going on holiday, mornings don't exist!

Normally early … but I’m not a morning person, so getting to work on time is a struggle. But since I come in first there’s no one to notice if I’m a wee bit late … 1-15 minutes.

I'm always early ; I hate being late.
But my problem is that I'm too early, so I have to wait, and I get bored pretty quickly when I have to wait. I'm trying to work on myself so that I'm not so early, but I can't seem to manage it.
