I'll this will be an evolving post:

    Accessing the Designer Store Fronts
On the site home page--on the menu bar, click on the designers tab--(this will be updated to a drop down menu in the near future).

    Wishlist
This item is coming, we are working on some bugs with it.

    Search Function:
On the site home page-- to the very far left, you can search by key words. It will pull back products and articles related to that product.

notice that my options are less because I have an 's' at the end of dogs

if I say 'see all the results' this is what it looks like to see it with product and with a blog post--they are labeled to make it easier to differentiate.

@Esther Wisdom Will there be an advanced search in the store??? I would use that 99% of the time so that I could narrow it down by designer and sometimes in conjunction with a sale. Saves SO MUCH time.

So now that I've completed a page after the new store has opened, here's my feedback. It's fine. :agree I was concerned when the list of designers wasn't in the sidebar but that turned out to not be an issue for me at all while I searched for products to link in my gallery credits. I love that we can now limit our search to just one designer when we first just go to that designer's store. However, as I was actually typing my credits, tediously going back and forth typing the full titles and names and getting the URLs, I thought of how easy it is in the gallery to copy-paste a special link to share our pages, complete with the HTML code or whatever. If that could be added to each product in the store, that would be awesome. It's just tedious making such thorough, linked credits and I'm not sure I'll have time for that when I go back to work. It's ok if I don't finish Summer Camp though, so don't stress! :love

I’m already in discussions on this — it’s something that’s been brought up to dev as well. There are a few search and filter tweaks we’re mapping out as part of this build. I can’t promise every possible filter will be included, but we’re looking closely at what makes the most sense to implement.

I might need more clarification on this. It sounds like you’re going to the designer’s store first so that your search is limited to just their products — is that right? We’re actually working on a fix for that to make it easier to jump straight to a designer without needing to click into their page first.

I know that in the old store, you still had to search for the product and copy the URL, so that part hasn’t really changed. I just want to make sure I’m fully understanding what’s feeling harder now so we’re focusing on the right thing.

You're right, it's not harder. It has always been tedious when we were required (for MOC) for more thorough, linked credits. Usually, for ordinary scrapping, I just have my Photoshop layout panel showing on one side of my screen and the TLP gallery on the other side of my screen and quickly type my credits, sometimes abbreviating, never linking, and not having to click back and forth from the gallery to tab to numerous product tabs I've opened while scrapping. So as I was typing my credits for my summer camp color race layout I remembered that in the gallery we have those code option in the right sidebar that make it easier to share links to our pages and thought something similar could be on product pages.

In other words, the new store did not make anything harder. I just had a new idea I wanted to throw out there in case it's possible. No worries!

Are the TLP collabs not accessible in the store yet? I was just looking for one to link to for my Ready, Set Go! layout.

No those are part of the ones that are delayed due to complexity. I have to go to several different places to pull it all in to get it to flow correctly to the new store. No link required on these.

they are among the products that are still being migrated across, so there will be a delay on that - it will be coming back into the store.

So I finally was able to log in to the store (after having to reset my password with a new one) and find it a bit hard to navigate. However from there I could not go to the forum. And when I logged into the forum I had to use the old password rather than the new one I had created for the store. It confusing and off-putting for me right now.

The two are separate (the store and the forum). I actually have different usernames and passwords for the store and the forum as I registered at the store sometime before joining the forum. The forum and gallery are linked to the same account as each other, as part of the community part of the Lilypad, so they use the same login.

If you want the passwords to both the store and community to be the same, then you can change the password on the forum to match.

Patsy, when you are on the new home page, if you click on the 3 lines (hamburger??) upper right it gives a drop down. Click on community and that will give a drop down and click forum.

    IMG_5851.png

Also right on the top bar is also "community" and if you click on that it gives a drop down for forum etc.

i know you are going through a lot right now. Just peruse the new site. Once you get used to it and where things are you will love it.

let us know if we can help in anyway. I hope the screenshots help.

I just panicked when I went to link my layout resources--I used all LilyPad collabs! I guess I'll upload the layout and link it later.

You can upload it now. For the Lilypad collabs it’s ok if you don’t have the links.

So much this. It really helped when searching for an element type. I used to use the contains any of these words search function across title and description eg sun, summer, sunglasses, sunshine, hot to bring up a list of products across the store even if those actual words aren't in the product title.
