If you could splurge and pay for any one thing right now, what would you pay for? An exotic vacation? A new car? Your dream house? Let’s have fun today and pretend we get to splurge!

I would splurge on an all expenses paid private resort vacation to Hawaii!

A house to own ... have been a renter most of my life.

Second (cheaper) choice would be to buy a new car with a decent sized "screen" and Apple CarPlay compatible. I rented a car a couple of weeks ago with this upgrade and oh my ... seeing my Apple Maps on it's screen vs. my phone's screen was MAGICAL!!!

Houses for my just-out-of-college kids. I hate seeing them throw so much money at rent.

I wish everyone could own their own home. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

I’m glad you were able to enjoy the upgrades in your rental car. A bigger screen definitely helps with navigation!

I agree. My kids haven’t left the nest yet but I’m afraid they’ll always be renting with how high house prices are.

I need a vacation BADLY. Just some downtime with my camera and food that isn't the same 3 things all the time... All I want right now is to go back to the Keys.

My favorite part of vacation is the food. I've been to the Keys once and it would definitely be fun to do again!

    Have our house paid off!!

But a smaller "big splurge" would be to have out driveway paved so our kids have a place to practice bikes at home.

A vacation would be lovely, but we don't need to spend a ton to have an adventure.

Trex/ composite decking. My wood deck is nearing end of life and that composite decking looks awesome but it is SO expensive :cry

Vacation for sure, but also maybe a new car. I love my car so much, but it's 10 years old and has a lot of miles on it.

Yes, yes, and yes. It hurts my momma heart when I see how hard home ownership is to achieve these days.

on a smaller scale I would splurge for a new iPad Pro. I am still using my version 2 one that has cracks all throughout the screen.

If I'm dreaming, it would be an accessible house or at least one that suits my needs for the most part.

If I'm realistic, it would be paying off my student loan. It would free up about $80-120 a week.

A project manager to find and instruct all the relevant trades I need to get issues in my house resolved. I have the money saved I just don't trust finding good tradespeople to do the work to the necessary standard.

There is SO MUCH good food in the Keys, especially if you like seafood (which I actually do not). I once made our server laugh because I wanted the lobster mac 'n cheese, no lobster, but 10/10 would do that again. And so many restaurants are waterfront, which I absolutely enjoy. We stopped at a place I had always wanted to go to - to the point where I had a photo of their mermaid sign in our wedding guest book - and our table was in the sand.

I got married in the Dry Tortugas and going back would be such a great splurge adventure. It's only accessible by seaplane or boat so that's the costly part (plus staying overnight in Key West to catch an early-morning ferry or plane) but I still dream about it. No one would let me bring my camera with me so I don't have any photos of the flotilla of sea turtles we saw as we flew out or the dolphins that greeted our seaplane when we landed but our photographer did get some shots of shipwrecks as seen from the air and the view from the lighthouse atop Fort Jefferson.

In the meantime, my actual "throwing all my money at one thing" is my mom hiring an educational advocate for my son. Definitely not as beachy or as tasty but hopefully will get him what he needs.

I rent my parent's first home, and this past spring I finally splurged and had the gravel driveway replaced with concrete. It's a single driveway, but I had it paved extra wide (13'4" vs the usual 10'), so there's plenty of room to walk around the car. I hate parking on concrete, but then having to step out onto the grass. Oh how I love it!

And shoveling snow is so much easier when there's concrete vs. gravel underneath, and I have the option of buying a snowblower ... you canNOT snowblow a gravel driveway ... my neighbor attempted it one year after a heavy snowfall.

To splurge, replacing the carpet throughout the house. It is a desperate need to be replaced but it would have to be done upstairs and downstairs and in all the bedrooms!

Big splurge....pay my house off. No mortgage would do wonders for us.

More realistic splurge, definitely an exotic all inclusive vacation to somewhere tropical!!!!
