It's Valentines Day this month... and I'm not romantic at all! I am more comedy, than romance! Romance makes me awkward, lol! Do you have a favorite romantic movie? I don't watch them often... and I think I lean toward a Nicholas Sparks kinda theme. The Notebook kinda thing.... Predictable, lol! I'd rather read a little cozy romance novel.
I like the romcom genre and my favorite is probably Love Actually. Oh wait, coming back to add my absolute fave romantic movie (well, tv series) that I watch every few years - Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth.
Yeah... I'm not terribly romantic either, but I do love a good rom-com. Even my hubby gets into that mood sometimes and enjoys watching a good romcom.
@cfile @dawnmarch I love those too!! We just (re-)watched Groundhog Day last night - as per tradition - and I think it's just an adorable movie.
I like the mindless, feel good holiday Hallmark movies but especially a rom-com. Love stories that come to mind are: Valentine's Day Pretty Woman The Fault In Our Stars (read the book too) The Notebook (read the book too) When Harry Met Sally Crazy Rich Asians Titanic A real oldie, Love Story, with Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw was one of my faves and I can't remember how many times I've seen it. On my list from 2024 is The Fall Guy, The Idea of You and Fly Me To The Moon.
I’m on the romantic comedy team too. We watched Four weddings and a funeral last night and enjoyed it…love ❤️ the British humor. I also liked Sleepless in Seattle among others. I will definitely check out those listed above.
I also like Pride and Prejudice myself! Colin Firth is cute to me, lol! Not really romantic, but I enjoyed the zombie version also, lol! I can get behind rom coms... as long as they really make me laugh! Like silly ones too - The Princess Bride, The Proposal or 50 First Dates... lol! I think I want to see The Fall Guy as well.
I love a good rom-com! Some of my favorites: The Hating Game Only You Heart & Soul Anyone But You If you're into classic rom-coms, two of my favorites are: How to Steal a Million with Peter O'Toole & Audrey Hepburn Father Goose with Cary Grant and Leslie Caron.
I'm not a romantic movie watcher really at all. I've seen some, but I can't say I really enjoy them. Rom-coms are ok, I do like them a bit better. When Harry Met Sally, Something's Gotta Give, Some Kind of Wonderful, and Pretty Woman are a few that I enjoy.
Love the soppy Hallmark style of movies. So happy that I have been able to jump from the Christmas ones to the Valentine's Day ones. I especially am enjoying the ones set in Europe; Italy, Greece etc. Scenery is fabulous. Favorite would be The Proposal.
Okay, I really am not into romantic movies but I do enjoy some rom-coms. Here are a few of my favs. Mamma Mia My Best Friend's Wedding My Big Fat Greek Wedding
I am terrible at re-watching Romantic movies, especially ones with a touch of humour - While Your Were Sleeping ; You've Got Mail; Just Like Heaven ; Forever Young ; Heart and Souls ; plus others then there are the older ones - Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn); Breakfast at Tiffanys ; Charade ( humour in that one also); An Affair to Remember ; Wuthering Heights ( old version) plus others
