Chocolate Milk | Pad Patter 9.27

When I think of chocolate milk, I usually think about the cartons at school because I still see them all the time lol It's actually the only cow's milk that I ever drink and that's super rare. I couldn't even tell you the last time I had any. I use Oat or Almond milk for my overnight oats, cereal, and in my iced coffees. I really only use cow's milk for cooking.

I bet you do see the cartons all the time! ;) I'm the same and only use cow's milk for cooking.
 
When you think about chocolate milk what comes to mind? I think of a friend of mine who LOVES chocolate milk, but only REAL chocolate milk, and any time we are out to eat she will always ask before ordering, "Is your chocolate milk real chocolate milk or made with a syrup?" She refuses to order if it is made with a syrup. :rollin

When’s the last time you drank chocolate milk?
Probably 2-3 weeks ago. I don't remember exactly. I don't have it often but sometimes I catch a craving and have a glass (or two). :moo

Do you drink cow’s milk or other milk or no milk?
I don't drink just a glass of milk often. I mainly use milk in coffee and hot teas. I use cows milk the majority of the time, organic grass-fed whole milk to be exact. We do keep some milk alternatives in the house like coconut milk and almond milk because my daughter is dairy-free. I will use those here and there, depending on what it is for. We make homemade nut milks sometimes too, which is my favorite and makes you not like the store bought after having it. :hehe

I've thought about making homemade nut milks but I'm way too lazy haha
 
When you think about chocolate milk what comes to mind? Childhood: those little milk cartons that they gave us at school (every once in a while you'd luck into a little carton of chocolate milk, o happy day!); that Nesquik tin with the happy (if somewhat manic!?) bunny.

I forgot about the Nesquik bunny! Definitely a little manic lol

I'm surprised chocolate milk doesn't appeal to you at all but hot chocolate does.

Chocolate milk triggers happy Nesquik memories . Back when it was "Groquik" on the label not that annoying little rabbit which ruined Nesquik for me.

I haven't had chocolate milk in ages... and if I did, it'd probably be with rice milk sinc I'm now lactose intolerant. I'm not sure I would like it as much as with cow's milk though.

Do you drink cow’s milk or other milk or no milk? Ever since I had kids, I have been grossed out by cow's milk. I don't drink it plain ever, but I do cook with it. I use half of a tablespoon of cream in my scrambled eggs most mornings, along with some shredded cheese. I am not opposed to ice cream or sour cream, but I can't stomach the thought of just drinking milk.

I’m with you and don’t like to drink milk by itself.
 
I grew up putting Hershey's syrup in milk but I don't like that as an adult. I'll have regular milk in cereal but I don't otherwise drink it. We mostly have oat milk or almond milk in our household but once in a blue moon we'll get TruMoo chocolate milk!
