Reunions | Pad Patter 7.1

I am also still friends with some teachers and old bosses, so I guess I don 't like to let go of my old friends Hugs!

Imagine my surprise when my American History teacher from my junior year of high school asked to be my friend on Facebook! My class was his first year of teaching but he had done his student teaching in our school the year before. He later moved on to become an Assistant Principal at the high school then eventually the Principal. He and his wife just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and both look great!

It is amazing that when seeing friends from all those years ago, you just pick up where you left off. The girls I ate lunch with in June was that way and there are another 3 girls that I do that with as well.

Monica, I am still very close with some of the elementary school friends .. FB kinda makes it easier being we have school groups ... I am in charge of the Memorial for our school too.... way back in the day when ClassMates was bigger and better I was the point person for the school so I guess the alumni stuff is in my blood For me my best friends to this day are friends I have had since childhood. My BFF and I have been friends since birth and another very close friend is from Nursery school (age 4) so yes those friendships have been the closest for me. Many of us have moved to other states etc. but when you see them again you pick up where you left off. I used to also go to work reunions up in NY too... those from 40 years ago when I first started working in an office are special too, and some of those I am also still friends with through FB and phone calls and letters/cards When I go back to NY I often see a few of them. I am also still friends with some teachers and old bosses, so I guess I don 't like to let go of my old friends Hugs!

This is wonderful Christa. I’m glad you’re able to stay so connected. I think it would be fun to have a work reunion with my old coworkers.

When’s the last time you attended a reunion? I think it was 2 summers ago with my Mom's side of the family for a fun BBQ.

Do you like them or dread them? I like the ones with people I know and like. I don't like the ones I'm guilted into going for someone else's family who I don't even know... also, don't love the high school ones. I went to my 15 year reunion and probably won't go to another one.

Have you ever planned a reunion? I did one for some college friends about 10 years ago. That was fun!

What are your favorite ways to get together with old family/friends? Informally and with low key food and maybe some games.

My high school reunion was low key food and games so it was decent that way.

That’s fun you got together with college friends! I don’t keep in contact with any of mine but I was only there one year so we weren’t that close.
