Cucumbers | Pad Patter 6.13

I used to really dislike cucumbers, but I have come to love them! I wish I had thought to plant some this year. I may still try, it may not be too late :)

I love cucumbers and I grow them in my green house every year. I prefer the mini ones and I actually picked this years first ones from the green house this week. I had to Google what English cucumbers are, I think it is what we call green house cucumbers and the minis are almost just a smaller version of the bigger ones, but with more flavor. The ones for pickles are often grown in big fields here.

I eat cucumbers almost everyday in the summer, I have six plants in the green house and I love picking them to snack on.

I love that you have a green house! I hope you enjoy all your homegrown cucumbers.
 
We used to grow them when I was younger, so that was always fun seeing how many we'd get. Then my Mom did the same with my boys when they were little and they loved seeing how big they could get before picking them. Then they carved them up like boat and float them around in a kiddie pool. Lol.

I do like to eat cucumbers, but mainly in salads. I wouldn't say I seek them out to eat them on their own though.
 
I planted lemon cucumbers this year! We'll see if they grow. I also planted regular cucumbers. I can't tell if they are thriving or if the zucchini has overtaken them. I'll have to see what happens when the fruit (veggie) comes in!

That’s so fun they grew them big to make boats!

Love cucumbers! We planted some of the mini cucumbers this year, we'll see how it goes! I just ate cucumbers yesterday - dipped them (and carrots) in buffalo chicken dip!

Mmm that dip sounds delicious! I’ve only dipped them in ranch or Italian dressing.
