Hello. One of the things I want to try this year is recording my scrapbooking process for some of my layouts. I use Affinity and the videos will be a cross between a watch me scrap and tutorials as I will be talking through my process and the techniques I'm using. I've posted a quick short introduction video to my Youtube Channel. Links to the videos for future reference: MOC Challenges Jan 4th - Railway Engineering. Awesome! And can I just add that British accent is the best! I miss the days my accent was closer to French-British (when I was living near London) than it is now to French-American (due to too much movies and American friends around ) It's just so much more elegant. Sorry American friends
You are going to make me an Affinity convert. had never heard of it until I saw your various tutorials but I’m impressed by how sophisticated it is. Really enjoyed your video.
Another video, this one for day 5 of MOC - Torn Photo Collage. My completed layout: This will be the last one this week the house is going to get too noisy for filming my next few MOC pages.
Thankyou Angela for sharing and teaching us. I may need to refer back to your instructions one day if I ever have to upgrade to a Windows 11 because my old Photoshop cs6 may not work on it. I did purchase Affinity sometime ago so if needed I can download it again as I lost it on the computer destroyed when our home was flooded in 2022.
Good Morning, I have been watching your videos on you tube (they are fantastic!) Please keep making them. Question - it looks like you use Affinity Designer for most of your scrapping... is that correct? I had downloaded the trial version to my ipad but was unsure if I would use that as opposed to Affinity Photo2. What do you think? Which do you prefer? Thanks in advance
Thank you. I hope to make another one soon. I use Affinity Publisher for my scrapbooking, and then go into Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer if I need to use brushes etc. The basic scrapping process is very similar with all 3 programs. We have all 3 for various reasons. If beginners only want one, then I recommend going for Affinity Designer. My son tells me that you use Affinity Photo in a similar way to using Photoshop. So if you are used to Photoshop you might want Affinity Photo. There are things that are much quicker and easier to do in vector graphics, for that you would use Affinity Designer or Affinity Publisher. I like Affinity Publisher because it's designed for quick and easy layout creation, working with multiple pages, and has a lot of useful text tools. When it's not enough I go to Affinity Designer. There are a few very advanced techniques that require Affinity Photo but I don't use them often. Affinity Photo is also better for complex detailed photo editing - e.g. touching up old photos. But basic/standard photo editing can be done in Affinity Designer. I hope that helps.
