The kit I was connected to was Wildside since we've really been trying our best to embrace the 1000 Hours Outdoor challenge for our girls.
Fun challenge thanks for the inspiration [I love Epic, Cosmic Stuff by Rachel J. It speaks to the astrology lover in me and the blues speak to the water lover in me. I come back to it over and over.]
I absolutely love all the kits I buy so I chose one I've been using a lot this month, Winter Wishes by Gina Miller. We have actually gotten some real snow this month, unlike last January, when I joked that I saw about three snowflakes.
Great pages everyone. I will comment/check later today. Have to spend my Monday morning ringing a government department first....I'd rather be spending it at TLP!
I love/connect with this kit because it is perfect for scraping every day moments - the little moments or everyday life.
Lilypad 2024 01 Moc 21 by lm44west posted Jan 21, 2024 at 1:24 PM I connect with every kit I buy, either for the color, element style, etc. I very much enjoy working with anything from Rachel Jefferies. I used this template from one of her newest kits because I love the simplicity and colors.
I knew right away I was going to use Your Biggest Fan by ForeverJoy Designs for this challenge. It is a kit that I go to again and again. Being a soccer mom this kit connects to my heart, I will always be my kids' biggest fan. I love the sentiments in this kit and the play on words to go with it with all the fans. And since having all 3 kids play soccer at some level most of the year for a number of years and one who still eats, sleeps, and breaths soccer I have so many photos at the soccer pitch.
QUESTION: So my kit is from Mommyish and I can't find it, so I am sure it is retired. I can do my whole layout using that kit??? I can go find a current template. (I am very sad to find out it is retired!)
I adore "Shine On" by Lynn Grievson because the butterflies are beautiful just like my little "butterfly" (papillon) dog, Bennett. Also, one of the main colors is orange and the breeder called him "Orange Boy". The five pups in the litter all had "color" names for the ribbons she put around their necks so she could tell them apart when they were just days old.
I used "Immersed" because this is one of my favorite collections in my stash, I just love the colors, the grungy feeling, all the elements are so beautiful an realistic.
I hope using COLLAB kits are OK. I love COLLAB kits, because they have so much variety in them, I love the purples, neutrals, blues and pinks in this COLLAB kit: Of Wishes Hopes & Dreams. I also love the theme because I think that is a big part of life in general having hopes & dreams. I love the word arts in here and the journal cards and all the papers, this is simply an amazing collection.
January 21 - Kit Connections I used Anita Designs' Currently kit for this challenge. When I am looking for kits to buy, I look for a color palette I think I would use, and then it must have at least one great floral, a beautiful stripe and a polka dot in the paper pack. When I see those things all together, it usually seals the deal! But I am also looking for universal themes that could be scrapped across a wide variety of subjects, like this one that is about what is CURRENTLY happening...that could be anything. I had no idea when I bought this kit that within a few days, my son would be having one of the biggest moments in his career. When I started scrapping this page before church this morning, the video I linked to with the QR code had 7 million views. By the time I was finishing it up this afternoon, it was at 7.9 million, so I just changed it to 8 million, because it is going to surpass that for sure! I loved this black subtle stripe in the kit so used it for the background, but wanted an accent color so used the bold polka dot, which led to the elements to use. I like when there are lots of elements in each color so you can pick and choose. And I love pocket/journaling cards. I like to use the decorative edges of cards for layering.
I love the sentiment of Rachel's Be That Girl collection, and it really resonates with me at the moment, as I settle into island life and become a version of myself I didn't expect but kinda like ;-)
Using just one kit was hard! I tend to mix and mix and mix. LOL For this challenge, I chose the original Project Mouse kit because it connects to the love, theme, and colors in my photo.
I chose Paula Kesselring's Oh, Bother! Collection. Classic Winnie the Pooh is my absolute favorite. I knew as soon as I saw this kit it would be a well used staple in my scrapbooking aresenal. Me and the Bear by LLPooh1 posted Jan 21, 2024 at 3:31 PM
one kit is hard for me... I will find one (might add 10 more pages as afterthoughts to the members gallery, no promises ) I picked Countryroad kit by Sahlin studios, I bought it a long time ago to scrap the photos of my husband, it's got quiet dignity, and is neutral enough to use for masculine pages, and I keep coming back to it again and again. This time I decided to scrap my newest boy Pip, and I think it works for him too, warm and cozy, I love the textures of the papers, and lovely colours.
