Happy New Year everyone.

Mine's started with lots of sneezing. It had better improve dramatically. It's a Bank Holiday here (Public Holiday) so one more day of family time before work continues tomorrow. TJ has two more weeks at home before she goes to University, and later this week her boyfriend is coming to meet us. How did my baby get old enough to have a serious boyfriend?

Happy MOC too! Are you excited? It's my first one as a Polly, and I'm a little nervous.

Do you have any goals for MOC or are you just going with the flow? Are you hoping to do all 31 days? Have you seen the awesome prizes list?

Happy New Year Angela! We have the day off work here too and then I have to head back to work after a lovely week off. It's going to be rough getting up tomorrow morning! I've gotten used to sleeping in a little each morning. Lol.

I'm SUPER excited for MOC. I'm going to jump into my first page after I finish catching up in the forums. My goal is to complete all 31 challenges again! :D

Technically most people here have both the 1st & 2nd off. I have everyday off not by choice..wish it wasn't the case. My mum wasn't one of those lucky ones, she worked the 1st and got paid time and a half and a day in lieu but the 2nd she has off as it's her day off anyway.

As far as MOC goes, I can guarantee I'll do at least one but outside of that I have no expectations as just before Christmas I was given some news that I need to do a health based renewal with my doctor (who I need to re-enroll with.....long story there about that) for my government financial support so that involves a few appointments before I think the 19th and also by around the same time I need to apply for a job - I knew of it just before Christmas but wanted to give myself a solid break from that for a week or two. In past MOC attempts I've started out strong as long as I do the challenge as soon as inspiration appears within reason as I tend to scrap only when I'm alone which eliminates 3 days a week - I'd rather spend time with family when they aren't working.Once they back up more than two or three challenges then the chances of doing them all rapidly diminishes

Hope the sneezing doesn't escalate into anything worse. My husband and I started feeling yucky on the 26th and we're finally today feeling slightly better. We're supposed to leave for Miami to get on a cruise this Friday so now that we've literally done nothing for the past week we feel super behind on packing!

MOC - I have two trips planned in January so I'm not sure I'll get all days done, but I'm still going to try.

Have a great time on your cruise.

I hope the sneezing is done and you're well! My winter break continues through Wednesday. I have been very excited about MOC because I hardly scrapped in 2023 -- only 75 pages, 33 or so of those in January -- and I miss both scrapping and interacting a lot here on TLP. From experience, I expect I'll be able to complete all 31 challenges. I have seen the prize list and I hope to at least win for one of the challenges. Just in case I'm chosen to win something off my Wish List I went and edited it this morning. My only MOC goal is to complete all 31 challenges. I do kind of go with the flow. I don't stress about making perfect pages or trying to fit them into a plan of my own. A lot of the times the challenges provide me with great scrapping themes I wouldn't have thought to do on my own. I love the thought provoking MOC challenges.

So do you get to write a MOC challenge? I don't know how many Pollies there are. If I ever get to be one (far in the future when I'm not working full time perhaps) hosting a challenge would be something I think I'd enjoy.

I love MOC and I'm really hoping it will jump start my creativity again, but I'm just going with the flow! I'm super happy that I have the first week of it off work and get stay on top of pages. Of course I also need to work on my challenge lol. I'm hoping to get all of them done if nothing unforeseen comes up! I've done them all since MOC2...I chickened out the first year! You are going to rock MOC as a Polly!! :)

Happy New Year! The years do start to roll around quickly! But I still don't know how children grow up so fast. I remember when Olivia was just 11, starting to digi scrap, and now she has her own business and lives on her own and and and . . . LOL! Daniel has literally grown. He is SO tall. He'll be finished with his first college terms at the end of February. He still lives with us though.

As far as MOC, I'll be scrapping at least four layouts, one for each of my live scrap sessions. I hope to do more than that, but I'm being gentle with myself this year as I'm caregiving for my mother who is at the end stages of liver cancer. I am super excited about the theme this year as I feel we are all connected to each other and to the world around us. I'm looking forward to exploring that and how it shows up in my life.

Happy new year everyone!

Things have started horribly for Japan with disasters 2 days in a row (earthquake/tsunami on the 1st and a plane explosion in Haneda airport on the 2nd) but we are all good here and far from those horrible tragedies.

I hope 2024 will bring you all joy, health, success and of course boosted creativity!

Feel better soon @Angela Toucan

Thanks Cheryl @gonewiththewind time is so fleeting isn't it. It's crazy adjusting to how my role as a mother is changing with them getting older. I can understand some of the things my mum used to do that made me cringe now though ... Blessings to you and your mother as you go through these difficult times with her this year. I hope you get many precious moments together.

That does sound like a terrible start to the year @ninigoesdigi. My prayers for those affected.

I'm feeling a lot better now, just rather weak though.

Happy New Year Angela.

Last year I didn’t finish many MOC challenges so I’m just planning on doing whatever I can this month. I probably won’t finish all 31 but I’d love to try.
