I cannot believe that it's already October!! This year seems to be flying by!
This month is pretty much low key for us. We had my grandson's birthday party today and we are hoping to maybe take some day trips later in the month to see the fall foliage, but other than that, no major plans or events (well, other than DSD and I'm super excited for that!)
Anything on your October agenda?
Any fun things or trips planned?
Anything you are looking forward to this month?

Oct 8th is our first wedding anniversary.
Than on the 9th my son graduates High school and moves to an adult group home to start his adult life
Otherwise low key month. ...

I'm having heart surgery on Oct 2 (yes, tomorrow). Should be just an overnight stay in the hospital. Then the 4th is my birthday that I will celebrate by having pizza with 2 cousins. One is staying with me a few days post surgery, the other is watching Peyton for the 2 days I'm in the hospital.

The rest of the month is recuperation.

I hope the surgery and your recuperation go well!! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! And happy early birthday! The pizza time sounds great!!

I’m boarding the Disney Wish tomorrow for a 4 day cruise. I booked this last minute (two weeks ago) b/c my original b’day plans fell through. Am going by myself b/c I booked so late. Should be fun, it’s been 8 years since my last cruise … to celebrate my granddaughter’s high school graduation.

Enjoy your low key October Jan.

It’s the end of soccer and softball season in our house this month (yay!) so I’m looking forward to less time in the car driving to all the practices and games.

It’s also fall break for my kids so we might go fishing, visit the in-laws, or just stay home.

I'm hoping October is calm. We've had a lot going on lately. The only thing planned this month is a friends wedding and a show (Little Shop of Horrors) that my son is in. I'm really looking forward to the show but I'm sad because I have to work that weekend. I normally go to all of the shows when my kids are in them but it looks like this time I will only get to see one that is on a weekday because of my work schedule this month.

Good luck with it all @HavaDrPepper

In our house October is also known as BANDtober - marching band competition season is in full swing! My oldest graduated last year, so it's just my other son involved (he's a junior this year). He has competitions every Saturday except the 21st, a showcase tomorrow night, and a friends and family fundraiser event later in the month. I usually volunteer to help at every competition. The weekend with no competition we decided to take a little getaway for 2 nights at Bryce Canyon National Park - so lots to look forward to!

I hope it all goes well and you have a smooth recovery. And hopefully you'll be feeling well enough to enjoy the DSD festivities from your couch or bed!

This sounds like so much fun! Happy birthday, enjoy your getaway!

I've got application paperwork to do for a disability tribunal court case. That's going to keep me busy this week and maybe next week. I can't do it in one sitting - too stressful so will be spreading it out.
I've also got some props to create for a church puppet show. They need an electric guitar, a keyboard and a drum kit.

Looking forward to the 1/2 term week right at the end of the month. We will be seeing TJ.

Yesterday (October 1st) was my youngest daughter Mollie's 19th birthday-- so we spent the day celebrating her and the rest of the month should be pretty low-key. I have my quarterly infusion Vyepti for my migraines next week- this is the first time I will have to go to an infusion suite to have it done instead of having a nurse come to my house to give it to me. The company that provided the meds stopped taking my insurance so I had to find a different provider for that. It is a 30-minute infusion so it isn't a long process, but it was nice to have the nurse come to my house and not have to drive somewhere for the procedure.

Football is in full swing and after the past two weekends I am getting a bit more into the NFL-- I have always just been a College Football fan (Roll Tide!), but after the craziness of Taylor Swift x The NFL I am IN for the Kansas City Chiefs (fun game last night against the New York Jets!) and also watched the Tennessee Titans/Cincinnati Bengals game and last quarter + overtime of the Philadelphia Eagles/Washington Commanders game yesterday in between the birthday celebrations for my daughter.

I am looking forward to the DSD celebrations this weekend and hope to be super involved this year!

Anything on your October agenda? October is birthday month! Hubby turns 60! Rosie turns 24!
Any fun things or trips planned? None for us - Rosie is going to the UK in November.
Anything you are looking forward to this month? Rosie's last 4 weeks away from home and then she will be back for her final exam and the degree will be done.

Oh how fun!! Hope you have a fabulous time on your cruise! Sounds amazing!

I hope you get to enjoy some down time after all the running around!! Sometimes I really miss all those practices and games, sometimes not so much lol.

I love watching band competitions! They used to do a big one here, but I haven't heard about it for the last 2 or 3 years. I'm wondering if Covid did it in and they just never restarted. Hope you enjoy your little getaway!!

Ugh, paperwork is the worst! The puppet show sounds super fun and I know you'll love getting to see TJ! Enjoy!!!

Happy birthday to Mollie! That was almost my daughter's name and I changed it last minute.
I hope the infusion goes well. I have a deep hatred of insurance and all things related to it lol.
I love football, college and pro. The have always been my team...that was a stressful game lol.

Happy birthday to hubby and Rosie!! How exciting that she is almost done with her degree!!

We have a pretty low key month for October which I'm rather grateful for. I had plans every single weekend in September and I'm ready for a bit more downtime at home. But first I have a scrapping weekend planned this coming weekend over DSD, so that'll be fun. I won't be at home, but it's the next best thing. :giggle

finished my first prop.
