We talked lunch and dinner... so what about breakfast? Do you have a favorite breakfast food? What did you have on the menu today ? Did you know breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

Me... I'm a huge egg fan. I love eggs. My favorite is eggs Benedict.. but I also love me a good omlete. But simple over easy or sunny side up eggs are good also. We are also big waffle fans in this house and I'm talking homemade here not store bought. We make them a lot in our waffle maker that use to be my grandparents. Kinda a tradition passed down.

Today I made frames otherwise know as toads in the hole or eggs in a hole. Basically a piece of bread with a hole cut out in middle and a egg dropped In hole.. fried till done. We leave the egg kinda runny.. and topped it with a slice of cheese since well..we are from the cheese state and all .. and served with a ham steak
I put a little everything bagel seasoning on my frame

Eric drank the rest of our orange juice last night ..naughty boy so I was kinda naughty and had a strawberry Dr pepper with my breakfast today. I made Asia a hot cocoa with hers before school.

Neelix even got a few eggs with his breakfast. He loves a good raw egg or two

I have a 1/2 whole wheat bagel and coffee most days. Sometimes I'll make a soft boiled egg on toast. Occasionally oatmeal (usually instant because I'm lazy). It's funny because for, like 50 years, I had cereal for breakfast practically every day but I never eat cereal for breakfast anymore -- to sugary/carby.

I like breakfast foods when I don't have to cook them. Sooooo, my usual work day breakfast is a cheese stick and a Pepsi when I get to the office.

And we called your "egg in a hole" ... "bird in a nest" growing up. My fav way to eat eggs ... is a fried "dippy" (over easy) egg mixed with hash browns, and bacon on the side. Or a fried "dippy" egg sandwich ... although that is messy!!!

I've never been a breakfast eater unless I'm on vacation. Then I'll hit up a breakfast buffet if available or go out for breakfast. Instead I drink Carnation Instant Breakfast in the mornings. Even did that when I worked.

I grew up eating breakfast foods for dinner. Or maybe a brunch on the weekends. My favorite though is scrambled eggs. I fix them at least once a week and when I was without teeth, I ate them 3 or 4 nights a week since I didn't have to chew to eat them! When I would go out to eat for dinner before the whole no teeth issue, I would get breakfast if it was available. The local Bob Evans was always a good place to go (although I hear it is not quite so good these days).

When I fix scrambled eggs, I fix 4 and Peyton gets about 1 of them mixed with her food. Scrambled eggs (and hard boiled eggs if I have them) are the only "people" food she gets. Same with Pepper and Paige. They all love(d) scrambled eggs.

I don't often eat breakfast, unless we go out to a restaurant for it, but I do like breakfast for dinner sometimes too. I like scrambled eggs, sunny-side up eggs over toast and french toast. I use a gluten free keto bread. I also like a toasted BLT or fried egg with ketchup on toast. I also like (gluten-free) bagels with cream cheese.

And now I'm thinking that a dippy egg sandwich sounds good for dinner ... with a slice of cheddar cheese, of course.

I love pancakes, eggs, bacon, french toast, and donuts...especially when I don't have to make them myself! My absolute favorite is pumpkin pancakes, of course!

For a long time I had 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast every day. Then I switched to using my little waffle maker to make an egg and cheese "chaffle". I met with a nutritionist over the summer because of our new wellness program at work, who basically told me to cut it out if I want to lower my LDL. I am now doing overnight oats with almond milk in jars that I just pull out of the frig and take with me every day. I add things to the jars like blueberries, a little peanut butter and jam, or a little peanut butter and dark choc chips. I also add about a teaspoon of honey. I'm really enjoying them and it's super filling. We have blood work again in Nov, so we'll see if it's making any difference.
I really do love breakfast food, though. I make a mean omelet and I adore going out for breakfast and getting dippy eggs, bacon, hashbrowns...all things!!

I'm not a big fan of eggs but I do like a good omelet. I grew up eating cereal and milk every morning; now I just drink water every morning. Lately I have chia pudding or a protein bar for breakfast.

I love all the breakfast foods. It's my favorite meal to cook and I often make breakfast for dinner because it's usually faster than the other normal dinner recipes. :giggle

I usually eat a frozen breakfast sandwich lately though. I keep them at work and eat when I get to work since I'm usually at least 30 minutes early to work. I used to have breakfast burritos a lot, but they changed the recipe a couple years ago and now they are too greasy and don't taste right. Now I'm eating the Jimmy Deans turkey sausage, egg and cheese on croissant. They don't have too many calories and are just right to help me make it until lunch.

Bran buds cereal, yogurt and fruit most days.. I cannot eat eggs unless they are mixed like batter for french toast as I get sick to my stomach with them. I love the way they smell cooking though.. lol.. if I do try to eat eggs (if we are out), I will either do an egg white omelet or I will do scrambled EXTRA WELL.. even then I still have issues so it must be the yolk itself that doesn't do well for me. I couldn't take flu shots either for the longest time due to the raw egg... anyway... occasionally on a weekend we will do sausage biscuits, but most of the time I am a Greek Yogurt girl.

if I eat in the morning it could be a bowl of soup, salad, ciabatta with red onion and vegan cheese. If I am opting for more breakfast stuff I go with cream of wheat with sunnut butter, fresh fruit, or in the fall I LOVE it with pumpkin pie hummus mixed in!

Throughout my adult life I've rotated between yogurt with berries, protein bars and oatmeal ... less frequently (weekends) I will have bacon and eggs, etc ... I start work early with back to back meetings, so whatever I have during the week has to be grab-and-go.
