Love "Chips" (steak fries) and Onion Rings... Alexia is the brand we love and we make them in the air fryer... I love to dip mine in HP sauce (UK Brown sauce by Heintz) :)

I usually choose fries, but I do love onion rings. I like the dipping sauce with them too. When we do fish fry parties at our house we often make onion rings to go with the fish. They are so good, but also super filling, so sometimes I get full after a couple onion rings and don't have room for fish. Whoops!

I’ve tried Alexia sweet potato fries but I’ll have to look for their steak fries and onion rings now.

I agree that onion rings are filling! I usually share an order with one of my kids or else I make myself sick eating the whole thing myself!

Coincidentally, DH and I ended up at Johnny Rockets at the mall last night for a quick dinner and he ordered onion rings (with no prompting from me).:spin

This morning I saw a post on Facebook that said "Onion rings are veggie donuts." :lol2

I have enjoyed onion rings many times, but fries far more often. Mostly only at restaurants nowadays. I love when they have an interesting sauce, but I'll still use ketchup if there's nothing else. My favorite fried side is sweet potato fries. No sauce needed.

Onion rings are... well, onion dipped in batter and deep-fried... onion, people!!!! Are you serious??? I'd have to be starving to actually eat it... I can't imagine how anyone would even think of making a side dish entirely of onions.. Joking aside though, I have never tried onion rings because they are... onions.

My daughter loves them though. And the first time she tried them was at a friend's house and she came home saying they had these delicious onion rings and why don't we make some at home. I told her I was surprised she liked them and she looked at me as if I were an alien and said - verbatum - it's not like it's raw onion dipped in batter and then deep-fried in oil.

She was ten at the time and this piece of wisdom was delivered with so much confidence that I even wondered for a second that perhaps I'm not being fair to onion rings. She continued to like onion rings for a couple of years but as she got older and learned to cook - onion rings slowle became a thing of the past because they are... onions.

I don't each much of either b/c I eat low carb but every now and then I will get either onion rings or sweet potato fries. I love a dip of mayo/hot sauce/ranch. I also like zucchini fries breaded with parmesan.

That dip sounds like what DH has started topping his salads with and it's very good. I like zucchini fries too Rae.

I like them, but would order fries mostly. I do like certain fast food ones, but haven't had them in awhile. To change things up at home, I'll make them to go with the burgers sometimes. :)
