Let’s talk pillows. On our last cruise the ship had a pillow menu. They were out of quite a few of them but they brought us a memory foam one, feather one, and some of varying firmness. What kind of pillow do you prefer to sleep with. I love my feather pillow. It probably needs to be replaced. Every time we do laundry feathers are on the floor from it. Poor hubby hasn’t found a good pillow yet. Either they make his neck or back hurt. Even with the pillow menu. So sad.

I prefer a hard memory foam pillow with cooling. I got my current one at Costco and take it everywhere we go because I can’t sleep without it. I also need a pillow between my legs, preferably a medium one.

I sleep with two pillows. Top one is a decades old feather pillow. EVERYONE in my family loves my feather pillows. My older live-in grandson used to switch old his pillow for mine (putting his in my pillowcase). Even after buying feather pillows for my housemates, they STILL preferred mine.

Anyhow, old feather pillow on top (I have two b/c I have a queen size bed), then a cheap medium underneath for an extra lift. I regularly switch pillows so that both sets get equal use.

I have like 1000 pillows on my bed.. but my all time favorite is one I've had since I was a child..it's a down feather and it's now like molded to my head.. it's super comfy.. lol I love it so much.. but the other pillows are it's support system. And help it.. I have to have pillows under it cause I can't lay flat on the bed.. I have to be risen. And I like to be surrounded ..and neelix needs his own. Pillows too. We build like a cocoon of comfort each night..we have our methods..here people..lol..

I will look for this the next time I'm at COSTCO, I really need a pillow upgrade

We have a set of cooling pillows that we purchased from Target. The tags are off of them, so I don't know the brand, but they weren't very expensive. We actually need to replace them!

I tend to buy cheap pillows from target and then replace them pretty often. I don't love the waste involved but I'm grossed out by the idea of mites living in there and pillows just never wash well.

I do the same as @dawnmarch... buy cheap ones and replace them pretty often. Kohls will run really good sales on theirs from time to time and I stock up. At one time I had a trunk full of them that I just pulled from when they needed replacing lol. I like them not too firm, but not too soft. I can't do feathers at all, it's one of the few things I'm allergic to. I can walk in to a room with feather pillows and everything in my head starts itching!

My hubby and I both use a shredded memory foam pillow we bought on Amazon. You can wash the whole pillow and then throw it in the dryer to fluff it. It came with a ton of extra memory foam too, so you can add or subtract foam until you get it just the way you like it. I love it. I take mine with me when I travel too!

I have to sleep a bit elevated - so I slept with 2 or more pillows until we bout our adjustable bed... Now I sleep with one pillow but the head of my bed is elevated some.

I still have the goose down pillow my mother made from an antique couch cushion make-over. However, it did not provide the shoulder and head support I eventually needed (don't get old - I don't recommend it - as my 98 yr old friend Margaret used to say). I used to love the formed contour pillows but recently replaced it with this pillow from Leesa. I got their mattress and loved it so I decided to try the pillow too. It has the support my neck needs without the rigid shape of a contour pillow.

Our entire family has 2 “My Pillow”s a piece. They are the best pillows I have ever slept with.

When I was a kid my mother made a bunch of pillows from an old feather bed. She used blue ticking fabric for them. Mine eventually fell apart.

The cover on mine got stained and nasty so I made a new cover and transferred the feathers.

I don't think my mom used a tight enough sewing machine stitch ... mine had lost most of the feathers by then.

New pillows are on my shopping list next pay day, mine have gone flat. I prefer a medium support foam pillow

I guess I'm in the wishy-washy middle: I like my pillows to be not too soft, not too firm. I generally sleep with two pillows, and they have to be arranged just so: not too flat, not too fluffy.

Okay, I guess I'm a little bit fussy about my pillows!

I like medium firmness. I am not super picky as long as it's not lumpy. I do cover all of my pillows with hypoallergenic covers (over the pillow and under the case) to control dust mites, since I'm highly allergic.
