Here's my first hybrid layout that I created using the brand new MPM: Treasured

I really enjoyed working with collection. Can I tell you, it's the smallest things that always make me so excited. LOL. For this layout, the homemade tassel gave me so much joy.

All fussy cutting by hand with the following exceptions:
For the flowers made out of craft paper, craft paper is from my personal stash and the flower is a cut file by Simple Stories that I cut on my Cricut Joy

The daisy looking flower is made from paper in the collection and I used the Button & Daisy Chrysanthemum by Spellbinders and used with my sizzix machine.

The tassel, I created from rolling fringe and I used the Create a Decorative Tag die cut by Spellbinders and cut on my sizzix machine. The twine & embroidery thread used for the tassel is from my own stash

The tan twine is from my own stash

I did layer some of my flowers to create a fuller look and added some gemstones as the center for added dimension.

Oh, and I like to point out that I have hidden journaling on this layout. The heart tab on the left page, pulls out and I journaled about these Treasured Moments

Here's a second hybrid layout that I created I combined the MPM with Rachel's Add-ons

For my background, I blended my photo with a mixed media paper. I reduced the opacity of my photo a little but and printed on my regular paper that I use for my hybrid projects as I really wanted the background to be matte/muted so that I could make the portion of the photo pop as a layer. I added the word art, paints and the messy threads to my background before I printed. For the messy threads, I added a slight drop shadow to give some dimension so they wouldn’t be flat.

After I printed my background, I came back and added texture paste to some of the areas that I had printed the white paints on my background.

These are amazing Esther @mywisecrafts. Seriously gorgeous and I very much appreciate you telling me your steps. I'm trying to learn from you!

Beautiful work Esther! Thanks for sharing your process so we can all learn from you!

Okay I still have two weeks to pick make a page with my word (and to do the travel part of Cheryl's challenge), but I did finish the February calendar and verses pages. I need a way to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries, so I've decided to make a calendar page each month. I also am trying to write down 4-5 verses that I want to memorize each month and am hoping this will help me keep track of them.

I love this. are you making these into an album at the end of the year?
