I am in need of a good office chair. Actually, all 3 of us here need new chairs...they are all falling apart. Chance and I went to Staples a couple of weeks ago and sat in a bunch, but I couldn't make a decision. Sometimes I scrap and stuff on the couch, but I prefer being where my big external monitor is, and off to myself haha.

Do you have a chair you love??

The one I'm using right now is pretty worn out and I really need to get a new one too. Mine has no arms on it, so I can scooch nice and close to my desk. I get so annoyed with most of the office chairs I've had because I can't get close enough and then I end up leaning forward and it's not great for my back.

I did just buy one for my youngest son for his birthday in March and it is super comfy. He loves it and I even borrowed it one weekend to test it out and I agree, very comfy! (even if it does have arms... :giggle )

I've been wanting a new chair for several years. I have a task chair (without arms) right now and the leather is cracking so I have to keep a towel on the seat so it doesn't scratch me when I have shorts on. I pulled this one out of the basement 4 years ago because the chair with arms was annoying me. So it is REALLY old! I bought the armed chair in 2009.

There are chairs with arms that fold up so that is what I want so that I can put it under the desk when it isn't in use. My issue now is finding someone to put it together when I get it. Not sure I could do it these days.

I have no recommendation other than to get one that supports your back, don't slouch and don't sit for too long without standing and stretching. My back is terrible for all the years of sitting too much and bad posture.

I LOVE mine - not sure of the brand - I bought it in a store in town. It's black mesh and swivels, adjusts up and down, has lumbar support and nice arms, rolls, it's very lightweight, perfect for me!

I like that one! The main one we were looking at when were shopping was technically a gaming chair, but one of the cool features what that the arms raise up so you could use it either way.

The main one we were looking at had arms that fold up...pretty cool feature. But yeah, all three of us have chairs with towels or blankets or something covering up a part that's broken lol. The chair I have was actually my dad's and he passed away 10 years ago, so it's pretty old and worn out.

Yep, I tend to slouch in the one I have and I really need to work on that!!

I need one with lumbar support!! That makes all the difference for me!

Jan @IntenseMagic mine looks a lot like this one on Amazon.

Earlier in the year I got a new office chair - I found it on the New Zealand equivalent of EBay for $45 from an used office supply charity shop. If I had got the chair retail it would have been over $400!

The last chair I bought was from Office Depot in 2017 and it's still going strong. Mine is mesh backed. Jay has a similar chair as well.

They were, in my opinion, very expensive BUT because of my chronic back issues, it was a must for me. My chair was actually marked with an incorrect price. At that time, the chair was supposed to be $399.99 (it's now $749.99!) but the paper tag said it was $279.91. Office Depot honored the price, so with taxes I paid $300. So I've been using it for five years. That's $60 a year, which is a very reasonable price for a chair I sit in very frequently with designing AND scrapping. My chair is still very comfortable and I'm having no issues with it, and highly recommend it.

Jay's purchase was an anniversary gift in 2018. He was going to get a standing desk. When he went to get the desk, the bin was mislabeled at $199.99 and the actual price was $499.99. They honored that lower price, so he decided to get a better chair. His chair was $399.99 (now $629.99!), but they had a sale, so he actually paid $260.00 for his chair. He ended up paying less for the desk and the chair than the desk alone would have cost. He was so pleased! LOL

I can't say enough about investing in a really good chair, especially if you are married to a desk with a desktop and two monitors (which is what I have as well). I also have a little footstool under my desk. I picked it up at an estate sale and it really helps to be able to put my feet up occasionally.

Here's the chairs in our den/office. I've also linked the photos below if you are interested in purchasing. Although I will say, it's incredible at the price increases just over the past few months.

that might be the one that my hubby bought, I like it...but haven't actually sat in it long to enough to be "sold" on it.....tomorrow I work from home while he's gone I might just use it and see how I like it for a whole day

The price increases are just insane everywhere these days!! I keep chairs forever, so I don't mind spending a little more for them if I have to. I stay tied to my desk most of the time, even though I have a laptop. I need my second monitor lol.
Thanks for the links!! Going to check them out!!

This is the one we were looking at (different color). It seemed fairly comfortable, but I didn't sit in it long
