Both my parents have covid****update in first post

I hope things improve soon for your parents. Especially your dad. So awful to be turned away when he clearly needs treatment! Sending positive thoughts your way :hug

I have not. And he is back in the ER right now because of the bladder issue.

Ugh. So sorry. I hope they are able to get him the help he needs and get him on the mend soon. I know first hand how stressful it can be when a parent is in the hospital or ER.

Oh no... hoping things are ok after the second ER visit. I'm glad it's been mild at least! I agree with Karen, it's so hard!

Dad is adjusting to his catheter. Not sure how long he will have it. Hoping for more news at the beginning of the week. Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers

My Dad had a catheter (for other issues unrelated to his surgery) after his back surgery this summer and I think he ended up having it for like 6 weeks which they normally don't do for that long, but he kind of loved it. He hated getting up so often to go to the bathroom. :giggle

Ugh. I’m so sorry they have the rona and that the specialist turned away your dad. That angers me to no end. How are they doing? Both me and my husband had it, but it was more like the flu, therefore we called it the “flurona”. He gave it to me (he’s all shot up) and I’m not. My symptoms were not as bad as his. It really wasn’t that bad, just more annoying than anything. I’ll be praying for them!

Oh, Danica, I'm so sorry to hear that your dad is having such a rough time. I hope all goes smoothly with the surgery and he has a quick, easy recovery. ((((hugs))))

Goodness! Glad they're doing okay and I certainly hope the surgery goes well. Sending hugs.

****His ruptured bladder couldn’t heal. When the hospital sent him home they left a catheter in that is supposed to be for hospital use not one for out patient use. They didn’t figure this out until he finally had an appt. with his doctor last week. He had to make multiple trips to ER because tubing kept getting blocked. He is having surgery tomorrow to repair his bladder. Prayers appreciated.

Good grief. Prayers for a successful surgery and smooth recovery.

Thank you for the update. It sounds very distressing and stressful for all of you, and what a terrible case of malpractice there. Thinking of you xxxxx

Thanks for the update. It's SO hard when our parents aren't in good health. Saying prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for him. Hopefully you are getting some downtime from all of the caring for your parents too.

It's so hard to take care of parents, and manage everything else you have going on. May the surgery go smoothly and recovery even better! Are they out of the woods with the Covid diagnosis? I hope so! Much hugs. It's hard.

Oh no Danica, your poor dad. Sending prayers for safe surgery and quick healing!

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, Danica. Keeping you and your Dad in my thoughts today. Praying that the surgery is successful, and for complete healing for your Dad. Hugs. xo
