Both my parents have covid****update in first post

****His ruptured bladder couldn’t heal. When the hospital sent him home they left a catheter in that is supposed to be for hospital use not one for out patient use. They didn’t figure this out until he finally had an appt. with his doctor last week. He had to make multiple trips to ER because tubing kept getting blocked. He is having surgery tomorrow to repair his bladder. Prayers appreciated.



Please send prayers, positive thoughts their way. They are in their late seventies and neither have been vaccinated because “they never go anywhere”. Although mom led me to believe they were vaccinated. Dad also managed to rupture his bladder somehow and he is dealing with that as well. They tested him in the er and that is how he found out about the covid.

Oh, Danica, I am sorry to hear so much happening at the same time. I will keep you and your parents in my prayers for mild cases and fast recovery. We all are just now getting over it in my house. It is definitely going around pretty fast right now.

Sending all my prayers Danica! Hopefully the Covid part of the equation is super mild so his body can focus on healing the bladder!!
 
@weaselwatchr Danica , I just went through this two weeks ago. First it was my BIL, who passed it to my father, then Mom, and finally his wife, my younger sister. ( They live in same house- but have an In Law suite
). Mom & Dad are 88 & 87, respectively, and we were really concerned. Dad has Alz, and Mom has heart issues as well as overweight and had Pneumonia 3x previously. All but my sister got the monocodial (?) infusion to boost the immune system. They came through very well. My sis didn't get the infusion and has had a hard time. BTW, my sis and BIL were vaccinated, yet this was BIL's SECOND time to be positive, so there's that. Mom and Dad did not take the shot, and have come through without incident. Much much prayer and rest was necessary though. I will pray for your family! Stay positive and believe!

I'm so sorry to read this, Danica. How incredibly stressful and worrisome. Sending positive thoughts, and hoping for mild cases with quick recovery.

I absolutely will be praying for their complete return to health as well as praying for you. It's hard to parent parents.
