I lived in a 14 story dorm when that movie came out. Made the mistake of seeing it when I was home on Christmas break. Wasn't sure about going back to my 12th story dorm room! Disaster movie at its finest though! The cast is the best reason to watch it. Steve McQueen and Paul Newman.... sigh. Lots of other very recognizable names as well.

Oh gosh. Yeah I can see not wanting to go back into a tall building after a movie like that!

I survived and lived in that building 3 years! Lots of fire drills in the spring though because people thought is was fun to pull the fire alarm (had been happening from the day the dorm was built before that movie ever came out). Just looked, it was built in 1971 and had 16 floors (oops, memory lapse!). Evidently it was renovated 4 years ago and I probably wouldn't recognize the inside of it!

Looks like mine is 101 Dalmatians (the original animated version). Kind of fitting as it was my daughter’s favorite when she was little. West Side Story was #2.

Mine birth year was this little movie. And no, I thankfully don’t see any parallels!
I’ve only seen the movie once but I can’t ever watch it again. In high school I took a Cinema Arts class and my teacher told us that a man died during the chariot race. The director said the cut was perfect so they chose to keep it in the film, but I’ve never been able to get that sight out of my head.

Mine is Ben Hur as well. I don't even drive a car ,never mind a chariot.... Don't really see the point of bloodsport either, and don't think I have ever persecuted anyone ..... Malta has had their share of big headed politicians though, so there is that ......
