A post I saw on FB asked how your life would turn out if you searched the #1 movie from the year you were born. I just googled it, and the highest grossing movie was The good, the bad and the ugly. Hmm. It's not far off. I have definitely had good, bad, ugly, but then also some really fabulous and wonderful in my life. I choose to focus on the good, to celebrate the great and to show up for the sad and bad.

I would love to know what the movie is from the year of your birth and whether it resonates even remotely with you or not?

Thank you Stefanie for this little bit of fun.
The movie that was number 1 in my birth year was South Pacific.
Well, I did fall in love with a man who already had children and was 13 years older than me. We live in a semi-tropical area of my country which is not quite a tropical island. I did sing in musical productions. But.... my husband is not French.

Hubby had me watch this quote a few times

Mine was Three Men and a Baby.
Well I did have a baby (he’s almost 7 now)
Maybe I will get married three times. I have one ex husband and one soon-to-be fiancé but I was kind of hoping this one would last haha.

Um.... I hope not :huh:giggle

#1 grossing movie... Lady and the Tramp (I do love dogs!)

Golden Globe Best Drama Film... East of Eden
Golden Globe Best Comedy or Musical Film... Guys and Dolls
Oscar Best Film... Marty

Yeah, I'm old.

Mine birth year was this little movie. And no, I thankfully don’t see any parallels!
I’ve only seen the movie once but I can’t ever watch it again. In high school I took a Cinema Arts class and my teacher told us that a man died during the chariot race. The director said the cut was perfect so they chose to keep it in the film, but I’ve never been able to get that sight out of my head.

Mine was Hamlet, one of the few Shakespeare plays I have not read. I never saw the movie. I don’t relate to the major themes of death and revenge. Hamlet”s tragic flaw was procrastination and I have that in spades.

The Sound of Music.
Well, I've never had any aspirations of being a nun nor a governess, but I do sing and dance with children a lot :)

Oh my. Um.... I'm not sure how to interpret this...
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Um, mine is The Bible? I didn’t know that was a movie. If I think of it an epic, historic saga, I suppose it could fit. :giggle

I lived in a 14 story dorm when that movie came out. Made the mistake of seeing it when I was home on Christmas break. Wasn't sure about going back to my 12th story dorm room! Disaster movie at its finest though! The cast is the best reason to watch it. Steve McQueen and Paul Newman.... sigh. Lots of other very recognizable names as well.
