January 2: Then and Now Photography Challenge

Thank you for the challenge Tracie

(when I was flipping through my photo albums for the photo for today's challenge I saw a photo of my son in his bath - was 9 months old and I was surprised to see the resemblance to my grandson who is now 4 years old...)

Question: Does it have to be the SAME thing? I ask because I have the perfect idea but it's not the same thing. Just the "same". My husband and I took a picture of our first Christmas tree and framed it and it goes on our mantle every year. Though we didn't put up all our decorations this year (don't ask!), we do have our tree and some things on it, and I am thinking of an idea using our this year tree. It's been 20 years of trees, and that first one was cut down. LOL

If not, my daughter can probably be one of my subjects - with all the toys she has still in the house

I covered this in the FAQ post… as long as there’s a connection between the “then” photo and the “now” scene, you’re golden! Sounds like a great idea!

Beginning to have second thoughts on whether I can make my idea work given I have no other way of displaying the photo except the phone I need to use to take the "new" photo. If I can't make that idea work I'm not sure what I'm going to do. At least its early enough in the month for me to come up with a plan 'b' if need be.
