Eggs | Pad Patter 12.15

Scrambled for me with milk and cheese mixed in. Any kind of cheese.
Mmm...cheese! I do like scrambled with cheese.

I consume a whole lot of deviled eggs since that is not something I make for myself.
Oh yes! I don't make them often, but we love deviled eggs here too.

Over easy
Scrambled
Boiled
I like how each one gets progressively more cooked!

I usually have them over easy - gotta have all the white cooked but love the runny yolk.
Yes! I don't like uncooked white.

a sunnyside up egg on buttered toast,
Do you ever put the egg in the toast and make it Toad-in-the-hole?

I've been accused of eating "rubber eggs".
Do those come from rubber chickens? :think:giggle Just kidding!

Eggs Benedict, or medium poached.
Oh yes! I don't have them often, but Eggs Benedict are delicious!

I like scrambled with some feta, mushrooms and spinach.
Mm! That sounds delicious!

tend to either have them scrambled only though
That's definitely an easy way to make them!

Any way I can get 'em
LOL! Not picky - got it!

Every morning I have scrambled eggs and veggies wrapped in a flour tortilla.
That looks delicious!

I basically don't want to see a yolk, so will only eat egg dishes where the whites and yolks are beaten or mixed together.
Where does deviled eggs fall? I totally get this - my kid doesn't like the whites alone right now. So he prefers egg salad, or scrambled.

I still like cinnamon sugar toast! Glad to know my kid isn't alone in that!

Also, I love Dippy Eggs! That's a great name.

I still like cinnamon sugar toast myself, although I don't make it for myself that often. I don't need the extra calories.

@bestcee I've heard of that but never done it. You cut a hole in the bread, crack the egg into it and then fry...right? I'd probably like that but popping bread into the toaster is probably easier :)

Pretty much. I have a round cookie cutter that I use to cut out the center of the bread. I put some butter in the pan, add the bread with the hole, and crack the egg in it. Season, flip it once to brown and fry the other side. Then I like to butter the round center, and pan toast it too.

yum!

I love eggs. I haven't met one I didn't like.... I used to dislike runny eggs, but time has changed that. I'll eat it all now. I make runny eggs on top of toast, bacon bits, EBTB seasoning, avocado and cheese. My boys will eat most eggs too.

We call the egg in the bread "Eggs in a Nest." The Toad version was sausages in Yorkshire pudding at my grandmas house (from my great grandfather/UK based). That's yummy too.

My favourite is poached egg done so you get a dippy yolk, I love poached egg on toast with avacado, or smoked salmon.

I also enjoy egg and soldiers, which is boiled egg with toast cut into strips for the soldiers. The yolk has to be runny so can dip your soldiers in.

I am useless and making eggs though always end up over cooking the yolk so its hard. Hubby makes them perfect though.

My secret is a lid warm the pan up higher, then when the bottom starts to set, drop the temp on the burner and cover with a lid. The lid keeps the heat and steam in and cooks the egg perfectly!

I've had a lot of practice getting dippy eggs over the last 3 months, and this is what works best for me.

Most of my adult life I haven't liked eggs. I eat them now, but they MUST be completely cooked through. I don't enjoy hard-boiled eggs, so it's either over hard, cooked in an omelet, or scrambled (the latter two usually have lots of meats, veggies and/or cheese). Runny eggs are a no bueno.
