Here is the United States, today is Black Friday. Also known as the day I have to constantly delete emails. I swear companies I didn't even know about are emailing me!

5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come?

2. Are you looking for something specific or just checking deals? Not looking for anything anyways
3. Do you plan to scrapbook shop today? Just finished.
4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? Never have, never will.
5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come? Since I don't shop for presents, guess you could say I'm done. I'll pull a dog toy out of the supply pile she doesn't know about for her for Christmas. I ordered my present in July but who knows when I'll get it!

Well... we typically avoid stores on black Friday. But I am in the middle of reworking/wrapping a lampshade frame with a hand dyed specialty yarn. I thought for certain I had enough. But I got through 5 of the 8 sections and 3 are bare, so off to Hobby Lobby I went . I t was still early, so the crowd was mainly in the Christmas section which is 50% off this week. Other than that- staying home today. We don't exchange a ton of gifts- immediate family and a few friends; we have shifted or focus to a more contemplated celebration, so only a few presents to secure and we are ready. Getting the tree up today which is early for us.
ONCE we went to Walmart for a doorbuster late at night. Never again!

2. Are you looking for something specific or just checking deals? I did decide to shop at Penzy's this morning to replace some seasonings I've run out of. I love this company because besides having some creative yummy spice blends, they make charitable contributions and they're outspoken on progressive ideals. They're always having some good bargains too. This weekend the deal is $35 for $50 gift cards and $2 for their special pepper. I also like that I can buy in bulk bags.
3. Do you plan to scrapbook shop today? I did not, but now that I see there is a sale, perhaps. But I just bought some things a few days ago using my monthly challenge coupon and a speed scrap coupon.
4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? Nope.
5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Nope. I haven't really begun. Unless you count that my oldest asked to color her hair again a few weeks ago and we called it an early Xmas gift. We're not big gift givers at Xmas, but buy things as we want them or find them for others throughout the year.

I hope your illness disappears much faster than mine has. I was mostly just sick (just a cold) the week of the 15th, but there continue to be some lingering occasional coughs. I like your gift-giving style and hope your present arrives! I ordered something last year that never arrived. It was from a Facebook ad and just a freebie deal (kitchen gadgets, just pay $7 shipping) and a small company I'd never heard of before with a terrible website so I had no recourse, but I decided never to order again through an ad like that (even though I have successfully a couple of times previously).

Well, my illness has been lingering since mid-October. Was told then it was a viral sinus condition, told to use Flonase and take Zyrtec at night. Was supposed to be better in a week to 10 days. Last week it got worse and dog was also sick so I made her a priority to go to vet (yes, I'm still watching her as well). By Wednesday I was bad again so back to urgent care. Different doctor but she thinks by symptoms it was becoming an actual bacterial sinus infection. So I'm on a prescription for 10 days and still taking the Zyrtec and using Flonase. I can't even go out in the cold air since it triggers coughing spells.

As for my present, I keep in touch with the car dealership... they can tell me the status of it. When I ordered it I was realistic and figured I'd be lucky to get it by Christmas. Now it is looking more like January/February.

1. Do you plan to regular shop today or avoid stores? Avoidance is my usual plan, but today we did go to a big box hardware+ store and a drugstore.
2. Are you looking for something specific or just checking deals? Specific. We went to buy a new Christmas tree. Who knew that when we got rid of ours last year that this year's would be so expensive? At the drugstore I had to get a prescription refilled and purchase a pair of reading glasses for post-cataract surgery on my second eye.
3. Do you plan to scrapbook shop today? Just got done doing that! Of course, there's still Cyber Monday to come.
4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? Sort of...once. Half Price Books was doing a deal where they would give out bags to everyone in line before they opened. One person in the first 100 would receive a $100 gift card in their bag. By the time we got there and were in line we were not in the first 100.
5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come? Ha ha ha ha ha! I haven't started yet. But other than a gift card from a local store that I'm getting my daughter and stocking gifts for my husband, I'll be shopping online.

4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? I have a few times. The years that we have gone to the beach, I've hit up the outlet mall. And 2 years ago I went to Walmart for a tv.
5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come? I'd say I'm probably about the halfway point. I have a few more things to get, but pretty much know what they are, it's just getting them.

We have had week long sales, Friday sales and wkend sales here in Canada. I went to the mall Fri night for a few gifts.

I was looking for deals, not really knowing what gift ideas I might see. I did find a few great gifts that weren't on my radar so was super happy with my shopping.

I'm really tired today and not sure how much scrapping I'll get done but tomorrow I think will be a better scrappy day for me.

4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials?
Previous years, I would go to the mall Thurs around 4:30 and stay til 3 or 4 in the morning, doing almost all my Xmas shopping in one night. I don't plan to do that anymore. I just can't stay up that late and lug around all the bags like I did before (b/c I have back arthritis/disk problems now).

5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come?
I have over half done now and it feels good to not have a lot left to do. I have focus on the other holiday things like meal planning, baking, tree decorating, etc and we have 2 holiday events to attend in the next few wks. I plan to have the shopping done and wrapped over the next 10 days or so.

We planned to get DS a new bed this birthday (are King Single (longer and wider than a Single but smaller than a Double) size beds a thing there?), So we took him mattress & bed shopping for a few hours but it wasn't busy in any of the stores we were in
2. Are you looking for something specific or just checking deals? Oops see above. We ordered a mattress, with some of the bed frames taking 10-12 weeks from order time to be shipped & delivered, DS & DH are going to build a loft style bed with desk underneath, & I online bought a Crockpot brand version of an InstantPot for like $50 off & a 'gem tree' for one of my niece's that is in to crystals

I have to admit I haven't even opened a single newsletter or Photoshop this weekend! We got the floorboards in one more room done on Fri/Sat
4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? They don't do that so much here. We had to drop DD in town at 9am & went to the shops at 9:30 but on Sundays, general retail (not grocery) still opens at 10 & it's been that long that we forgot & had to wait for opening time but we didn't bust anything lol
5. Is your Holiday shopping done already? Or is there more to come? I have a few more hard to buy for peeps (sigh)

1. Do you plan to regular shop today or avoid stores? I thought about going to doorbusters but decided not. I did end up going to Office Depot to get my monitors but that was late in the day.
2. Are you looking for something specific or just checking deals? I was looking for EHDs, monitors, RAM.
3. Do you plan to scrapbook shop today? I did some scrapbook shopping over the weekend.
4. Have you ever gone out early for Doorbuster specials? Yes, the 5pm Thanksgiving Day, the midnight sprees, and the crack of dawn sales.
