Fun challenge, I don't usually use alphas (generally use fonts with styles applied) despite having a great number to choose from! I also used Lynn Grieveson's ripped and stitched masks for the torn element.

ok, I was so focused on the technique itself that I may not have paid attention to the first part of the instructions: does using a word cut count? It's still made with a font, but I dont't know... :duh:think:oops:
